BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 4% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: For the first time in years, it's time to stop ignoring Houston Texans tight ends. Ever since the team let Owen Daniels go, they've struggled to fill the position, but in 2019 it appears they've found an unlikely contributor who can provide fantasy value in deeper leagues: veteran tight end (and blocking expert) Darren Fells.
Yep, that Darren Fells.
Fells has three touchdown receptions this season and is coming off a strong six-catch, 69-yard performance against the Kansas City Chiefs in which he was on the field for 87 percent of Houston's offensive snaps. Jordan Akins and Jordan Thomas were expected to be the team's main tight ends, but Akins is largely ineffective and Thomas is on the IR, so this has become Fells' job.
You'd like his workload to look a little bigger on a weekly basis, but as a deep league streaming option during the upcoming bye weeks, Fells makes a ton of sense. He has touchdown upside and Sunday saw him take on a larger role on a high-powered Texans offense.
