ANALYSIS: Even after a lackluster outing against the Padres this past weekend, David Phelps is enjoying life as a member of the Marlins' rotation. He started the season in the bullpen, where he served as the primary set-up man to A.J. Ramos. With the acquisition of Fernando Rodney, Miami elected to stretch Phelps back out as a starter. He'd experienced sporadic success in the role last season, and previously with the Yankees. This time around, he's looked fantastic. While he's only managed 24.1 innings, Phelps has posted a 2.22 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 22.5 K-BB%. The 29 year old has a pretty appealing schedule the rest of the way, with multiple games against the Mets and Phillies, as well as one against the Braves. He should be immediately added in all formats.
