ANALYSIS: It's been a few weeks since I last checked in on Delon Wright down on Beale Street, and since then he has continued to put well-rounded numbers on the stat-sheet for the Memphis Grizzlies. In the four games since the March 3rd match-up against Oklahoma City, Wright has averaged 15.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 steals in approximately 29.5 minutes per contest. The former Utah product has fallen into the most prominent role of his rather young career after being shipped to Tennessee in the Marc Gasol deal, and while he hasn't been leading the team in any particular category, he has been a key contributor for the Grizz across almost every statistical category.

Wright currently ranks in the top-six or better for Memphis in four statistical categories. He ranks sixth in scoring with 10.8 points per game, sixth in rebounding with 5.0 boards per game, fifth in steals with 1.0 swipe per game, and fourth in assists with 3.4 per contest. Not only that, but several players that rank ahead of Wright in these categories are either no longer with the team or are currently dealing with injury issues, including Gasol, Avery Bradley, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Kyle Anderson. While point guards like Mike Conley, Shelvin Mack, and even Jevon Carter remain in the mix for the bottom-dwelling Memphis squad to threaten Delon Wright's playing time for the remainder of the season, his well-rounded play of late in high-volume minutes in conjunction with his consistently stifling perimeter defense is more than enough to trump his ugly long-range shooting slump since he became a Grizzly and keep him on the floor for ample opportunities to produce.
