ANALYSIS: What if I told you Demarcus Robinson just led all Chiefs' wideouts in receiving yards this past Monday? That's a fact, and he did so to the tune of five catches on six targets for 69 yards. All things considered, it's a shame he couldn't get that sweet score against Buffalo to round up his season-best performance.
While Robinson had his best game yesterday, and virtually anyone can hit any given week for the Chiefs, odds are this was more of a random occurrence than anything else. But for needy teams and fantasy GMs playing in deeper leagues, Robinson is far from a bad free addition--consider, also, that Sammy Watkins was still out and will probably miss W7 too.
Demarcus Robinson's prior games saw him top at just 5.8 PPR points with a couple of goose eggs in Weeks 3 and 4 when he was targeted all of one time combined. As things stand now, with Watkins out, the WR3 role is up for grabs between Mecole Hardman and Robinson. Turned out it was Robinson time to eat this past Monday, as he out-targeted Hardman six to one while playing 69 snaps to Hardman's 29.
Again, consider adding Robinson only if you're really needy or have massive holes in your wideout depth because Robinson's upside is truly all-or-nothing. Total "what-the-heck" play as a FLEX on spot matchups while/if Sammy Watkins remains out. Good for you, Kansas City plays Denver in W7, with the Broncos ranking a putrid 4th-worst in surrendering fantasy points to WRs.
