BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues, NL-Only Leagues
ANALYSIS: Denard Span has generally been an undervalued fantasy baseball commodity over the past few MLB seasons. He has never been a guy who you can build your fantasy team around, nor will he ever be, but he can provide valuable help in stretches off the waiver wire with hits, runs, and stolen bases. This season Span is batting .260, has 50 hits, has 27 runs, and 6 stolen bases. The numbers do not jump out and wow you, and he's no longer on most people's list of sleepers, but he can be a viable injury replacement for your team or a guy that you can slot in for a slumping hitter when he's hot. If you need home runs and RBIs, look elsewhere. But if power numbers are not a priority, he may be able to help your fantasy team, especially in deeper leagues. Keep an eye on his game logs, as he can get hot in stretches and produce in bunches.
