ANALYSIS: After all, fantasy GMs seem to be catching up with Derek Carr's exploits. It took time, and perhaps this is not the best moment to throw compliments toward Carr given his last two outings, but he's a must-have player in pretty much every deeper league and a very sound streaming option in shallower formats.
Carr has yet to finish outside the QB2 realm this season. Carr, also, has finished two weeks as a QB1-performer (W5 and W7) and although his past two games went for juts 11.6 and 14 FP each, Carr has played to an average of 17.5 FPPG, which ranks him as the QB20 in 2020.
That scoring average was severely affected by horrific weather in his Week 8 affair with Cleveland (15-for-24 and 11.6 FP), and this past Sunday's game versus the Chargers was nothing to call proud home (13-for-23, 165 yards, 2 TDs). Even with that, though, Carr was efficient and got the Raiders the win. Outside of those two games, Carr has always passed for 22 completions this season and tossed balls for at least 239 yards. He has yet to finish a game without throwing a touchdown and has been picked just twice in eight games.
Carr is averaging exactly two touchdowns per game against just 0.25 INTs. Only Carr and Aaron Rodgers are currently posting those averages. Carr's 69% completion rate is also the fifth-highest among quarterbacks with 250+ attempts through Week 9. Again, Carr is as efficient as a passer as they get.
There Raiders have one of the best QB-schedules ROS. From Week 10 to Week 16, Las Vegas will face only two top-7 defenses against fantasy QBs and five ranked 22nd-or worst, including the second (Atlanta, W12) and fourth (New York Jets, W13) worst leading up to the fantasy playoffs.
