BALLER MOVE: Add Only in Very Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: Derek Jeter was once a player who provided his owners with a good average, 200+ hits, double digit homers, double digit steals, and good on base percentage. Jeter has been one of the leagues best players for 15 years and has well earned his place in Cooperstown, but that does not help you win a fantasy baseball championship this season. This season Derek Jeter will probably play 120-130 games and currently has a .269 AVG, 1 HR, 10 RBIs, and 1 SB. So there are really many better options. At 35% owned, it's clear Jeter is benefiting from name value because he is not putting up numbers even close to justifying that ownership %. I don't see any reason to own Jeter unless it is a fill in spot for a few days. While he may get hot for a week I think that is just about the upside to his value.
