BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Tom Thibodeau is still the head coach of the New York Knicks. That's it. That's all you need to know in order to have a solid reason for acquiring some shares of the current sixth-man and former great-Bull (MVP) Derrick Rose. I mean, don't take D-Rose for what he is not anymore, but rest assured he will provide plenty of goodies on a second-unit role on a nightly basis.
Rose put up a nice stat line last year once he got traded to the Knicks. The veteran guard finished playing 27 MPG off the pine (he only started 3 of 35 games in New York) with averages of 15 PPG, 3 RPG, 4 APG, and 1 SPG. The turnovers were also low enough (1.4 per) as to consider Rose a nice 9-cat WW target. He's pretty much replicating those numbers in the early season, only exchanging four points per game for two more dimes a pop.
While D-Rose had a kinda rough debut a few days ago in which he couldn't reach 10 points with a bad shooting performance (27.3% on 11 FGA), he was still able to showcase his full arsenal with 4 boards, 5 dimes, 2 steals, and even a block against Boston. He was closer to his true self on Friday as he put up a 12-0-7 line that included 4 (!) three-pointers made on 8 FGA over 24 minutes played. Rose is not going to start games with Kemba Walker in town and Immanuel Quickley in tow, but his second-unit role should see him getting 20%+ usage rates steadily and putting up his customary 10-2-4 per-game baseline of late.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
