BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues

ANALYSIS: Devon Travis suffered through an April in which he posted just a .388 OPS. That rightfully buried him in fantasy owners’ minds, but it’s time to tune back in due to his current run in May. After hitting a grand slam in Friday’s action, he now has three home runs, 14 RBI, and 13 runs scored for the month. With both Troy Tulowitzki and Josh Donaldson returning to the lineup this weekend, now is a good time for Travis to turn his production around. With their lineup at full strength again, counting stats should be aplenty for Travis no matter where he hits in the reinvigorated Blue Jays lineup.
Travis doesn’t hit the ball all that hard as his hard-hit rate sits at just 29.5%, a mark that is in line with his career rate. However, he does spray the ball all over the field, which should help his BABIP rise from its current .277 mark. Additionally, he has kept his strikeout rate below 20%, and combining his ability to hit to all fields with the low strikeout rate means his average should improve plenty from its current .238 mark.
There do have to be some injury concerns surrounding Travis given that he has battled both knee and shoulder injuries in the past. This isn’t an immediate concern given the lack of negative reports regarding health this season, so this isn’t an immediate concern but it is worth being aware of. For now, add Travis in most league formats and enjoy the strong production.
