OWNED In: 45% of leagues
After only a half-season with Sacramento, center Dewayne Dedmon is back with the Atlanta Hawks for his second stint with the team. The veteran started only 10 games for the Kings, but played in 34. It’s fair to state that the young team was not the right fit for the 30-year-old, as he averaged 15.9 minutes per game along with 5.1 points and 4.9 rebounds.
In his six seasons, the USC product has found the most success with Atlanta, and has averaged in double digit points with the Hawks. Knowing the history of his success on this team should be comforting to fantasy owners as they realize Dedmon can provide great daily stats. So far, so good for the center in his return as well.
The former King has only played three games for Atlanta this season, but has been averaging 26 minutes per game, along with 10 points and seven rebounds. Because of his rebounding abilities, Dedmon can provide can solid fantasy totals each night. In fact, the veteran nearly got a double-double in his first two games with the Hawks. The sixth-year player is a great fantasy pickup in leagues right now, at least until former Rockets center Clint Capela (heel) returns and enters the mix.
