BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues / AL-Only Leagues
ANALYSIS: Dexter Fowler has had a wishy-washy season, to say the least. He has dealt with injury, and he has been a part of a somewhat anemic offense. That being said, over the last month Fowler is batting .291 which has hiked his season average up to .274. He has hit safely in ten of his last twelve games dating back to August 17th, creating a very consistent streak that has put him into fantasy consideration, and has added him back to our waiver wire sleepers list.
Fowler is no home run machine, nor is he a real big run scorer. He also has some strikeout issues, as he has struck out at least once eleven of his last twelve games. His consistency has to lead somewhere though, and that could mean some runs produced in the coming weeks headed into the fantasy baseball playoffs. According to ESPN, he is only owned in approximately 20% of leagues. If you're looking to add an OF this late in the season, the upside with Fowler is there. One can only hope that he and the Astros can capitalize on it.
