BALLER MOVE: Add In 14-Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 30% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Hi, it's me, a huge Dillon Brooks fan who was getting worried that that fandom wasn't going to pay off. Well, I've got some good news for myself!
Brooks played just 18 games last season. This year, he's started all nine of Memphis's games, and while he's struggled in the past two of those games -- averaging just four points on 13.3 percent shooting -- I'm still encouraged by his usage and by a five game stretch where Brooks played 29.2 minutes per game and averaged 18.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per contest on 48.5 percent shooting.
The last couple of games do concern me, which is why my recommendation for picking up Brooks moved from "get him in a 12-team league" to "get him in a 14-team league" in between me deciding to write this on Friday morning and then actually writing it on Sunday morning. But I still see this as a blip on what'll be an otherwise strong year for the third-year pro. He should have a high enough volume to help you in points, in three pointers made, and in free throw percentage, as he's shooting 95 percent from the line.
