ANALYSIS: DJ Stewart started off his year going 0 for 22 before being optioned to the Orioles alternate training site in early August. Stewart was recalled on September 01st and went 0 for 6 in his first two games back before going on an absolute tear. In his last 6 games, Stewart has gone 10 for 23 with six of those ten hits being home runs. He's driven in eight runs and scored nine himself while boosting his slash line on the season to .278/.469/.806.
With just two weeks left of the regular season, you can make a case for adding anyone to your roster who is on a hot streak and not many hitters are hotter than DJ Stewart right now. He also has the benefit of a very favourable schedule to end the season with the Orioles last week of the season sees them play three games at Boston then three games in Buffalo (Toronto's temporary home) which has seen the ball fly over the fence in its short time as an MLB stadium. Stewart's hot streak has seen him moved up to the third and fourth spot in the Orioles lineup too so there will be ample opportunity for him to keep adding to those counting stats. Stewart is worthy of roster consideration in all leagues given his recent form and in leagues of 14+ teams, he should definitely be on a lot more rosters.
