BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues
OWNED IN: 18% of Yahoo! Leagues
ANALYSIS: Since Jarrett Jack was ruled out for the season with a torn ACL, the Brooklyn Nets have struggled mightily to get consistent production from the point guard position. The bulk of the playing time was originally awarded to Shane Larkin, but Donald Sloan began to eat some of those minutes as he outperformed his younger counterpart. Over the last five games, Sloan averaged 8.8 points per game on 52% shooting, while Larkin has posted 7.4 points per contest on 41% shooting. Additionally, Sloan has a 104 offensive rating and 110 defensive rating per 100 possessions, compared to Larkin's 100 ORtg and 106 DRtg.
Even if the two guards split time evenly, Sloan would be worth monitoring as a fantasy option based on volume alone. While his scoring and efficiency will leave much to be desired and limit his value in standard leagues, he could be a nice pick-up in deeper leagues and a rare source of waiver wire assists.
