Josh Donaldson passed a concussion test after Thursday’s Game 1 against the Texas Rangers.
The Toronto Blue Jays slugger left the game after sliding into second to break up a double-play in the fourth inning. Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor’s knee slammed into an oncoming Donaldson, which knocked him down.
Donaldson passed concussion tests. Will be monitored, expected to be fine. Bautista rt hamstring tightness. Mild. Expected to play tomorrow.

The 29-year-old third baseman will be reevaluated as Toronto prepares for Game 2 of the ALDS on Friday. As good as its offense is, it will be hard to replace the likely AL MVP. The Blue Jays were unable to complete the comeback without Donaldson as they lost 5-3 with their ace David Price on the mound.
In only his fifth MLB season, Donaldson has found a home in Toronto with the numbers he put up in 2015. He has a .297/.371/.568 batting line with 41 HR and 123 RBI. The heart of the lineup could look a lot different as the Jays prepare to face Cole Hamels on Friday.
