ANALYSIS: Fantasy football can be frustrating and stressful enough on its own. If you're relying on a Seattle Seahawks pass-catcher, that's only going to make things more infuriating. Through seven games this season, the Seahawks have had four different players finish as their leading receiver - Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, Jimmy Graham (all twice) and Tyler Lockett (once). Graham is the only one to top 100 yards in any of those games (140 in Week 6 loss to Carolina).
So what's the point here? Simple. Counting on a Seahawks wide receiver is a dangerous proposition in fantasy football. Baldwin, the team's de facto No. 1 wideout, has had his moments this season -- his seven catches for 92 yards and a TD in Week 2 against Green Bay certainly stand out.
Seattle travels this Sunday to face Dallas, a team in the midst of a four-game losing streak with a defense susceptible to giving up long touchdowns. During their recent skid, the Cowboys have allowed major TDs to Julian Edelman (59 yards), CJ Spiller (80 yards) and Julio Jones (45 yards). Baldwin often finds himself on the receiving end of Russell Wilson scramble plays, and could log a long reception or two against Dallas. But the better bet is Lockett, who continues to emerge as Seattle's top deep-ball option.
