This MLB season has featured a ton of great games early on! We're just over a month through, and DraftKings continues to post huge tournaments. We'll continue to breakdown some of the players that could help you win those huge GPPs.
Well, let's get down to it!
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 5/3/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.
DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings
San Francisco Giants - The Giants get a great matchup against Jon Moscot tonight, who enters the game with a 4.02 ERA on the season. He has also allowed at least one home run in each of his first three starts, and San Francisco is a -159 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs, and they can be used in all leagues.
Toronto Blue Jays - The Blue Jays always seem to come with a bit of risk, as they strikeout nearly as much as anyone in the MLB. They get a great matchup against Martin Perez, and Toronto has dominated left-handed pitching. They are a huge -172 favorite in a game set at 9 runs, and they can be used in all leagues.
Houston Astros - The Astros get a great matchup against Alex Meyer, who will be making a spot start tonight. He struggled in the only inning he threw this season, and Houston is a -171 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs. They make a great option in GPPs.
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings
Jake Arrieta - Arrieta has dominated this season, as he has a 5-0 record, 1.00 ERA, and 8.0 K/9 through five games. He can pitch deep into games, and he's essentially matchup proof. He's a -185 favorite in a game set at 6.5 runs, and he can be used in all leagues.
Andrew Cashner - It's never a terrible idea to use a pitcher playing in Petco Park. It's the most pitcher friendly stadium in the MLB, and Cashner is a -113 favorite in a game set at only 7 runs because of the ballpark factor. Still, he should only be used in GPPs, as he has really struggled this season.
DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings
Catcher (C)
Geovany Soto - Soto is flying under the radar a bit, but the Angels don't have anyone else at catcher and hit right now. He's hitting for a .344 average with 4 extra-base hits and 7 RBIs in his last 10 games. He can be used in all leagues.
First Base (1B)
Chris Carter - Carter is on fire right now, and he has unbelievable upside. Over his last 10 games, he's hitting .316 with 10 extra-base hits and 8 RBIs. He has loads of power, and he's a great GPP option tonight.
Second Base (2B)
Logan Forsythe - Forsythe has a scorching hot batting average of .447 over his last 10 games with 7 extra-base hits, 6 RBIs, and 2 steals. He has dominated left-handed pitching throughout his career, and Forsythe can be used in all leagues.
Shortstop (SS)
Danny Santana - Santana is still extremely cheap for a leadoff hitter, and he has great upside. He doesn't possess as much upside as some of the other shortstops, but he has great speed, and doesn't need many fantasy points to hit value at his current price tag.
Third Base (3B)
Josh Donaldson - Donaldson has dominated left-handed pitching throughout his career, and he gets a great matchup against Perez tonight. Donaldson has also been a significantly better hitter at home this season, and he can be used in all leagues.
DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings
Giancarlo Stanton - Stanton has been on fire recently, as he's averaging over 11 fantasy points per game over the last 10 games. Over that span, he's only hitting for a .263 average, but he has 5 home runs and 10 RBIs. He gets a good matchup against Corbin, and he can be used in all leagues.
Ian Desmond - Desmond is a great hitter when he gets rolling, and he's on fire right now. Over his last 10 games, he's hitting for a .412 average with 6 extra-base hits, 9 RBIs, and 4 steals. He gets a good matchup against Estrada, and he can be used in all leagues.
Michael Conforto - Conforto's price never seems to increase all that much, even though he has been on fire recently. He struggled a couple games ago against Madison Bumgarner, but he isn't a great hitter against lefties, and he gets a much easier matchup tonight. He can be used in all leagues.
