There is a solid slate of pitchers tonight, but it is headlined by guys like Michael Fulmer and Zach Davies, who no one even knew before the season. There are other top options, as well, such as Matt Harvey and Jeff Samardzija, but it's interesting to see some of the newer guys priced this high on DraftKings.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/17/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings. DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings
Boston Red Sox - The Red Sox have had an elite offense this season, and they have been able to dominate elite pitchers. They get a great matchup against Hisashi Iwakuma in Boston, where the BoSox are a significantly better offense. They are -133 favorites in a game set at 9.5 runs, and they are an offense that can be stacked in all leagues.
Houston Astros - The Astros don't have an elite offense, but they get a matchup against John Lamb, who has a 8.59 ERA on the road this season. Houston has a ton of power throughout their lineup, though, and they are -225 favorites in a game set at 9 runs. They make a great tournament stack tonight.
Arizona Diamondbacks - The Diamondbacks have struggled quite a bit on offense this season. They have been dealing with a ton of injuries, but they get a great matchup tonight. They will be playing against Adam Morgan, who has looked awful this season. They will also be playing in one of the most hitter friendly stadiums in the MLB, and they are -131 favorites in a game set at 8.5 runs.
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings
Matt Harvey - Harvey struggled early in the season, but he has been throwing well recently. Over his last three games, he has a 0.90 ERA and a 7.7 K/9. He gets a great matchup against the Braves tonight, and they have one of the worst offenses in the MLB. Harvey is a -270 favorite in a game set at only 7.5 runs, and he can be used in all leagues.
Matt Shoemaker - Shoemaker has stopped throwing his fastball at a high rate over his last five games and he started throwing his splitter more. Over that span, he has a 1.88 ERA and an 11.3 K/9. This game is set at 8 runs, and Shoemaker is a pitcher with elite upside. He is best suited for GPPs, though.
DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings
Catcher (C)
Wilson Ramos - Ramos has been an elite hitter this season, especially against left-handed pitching. He gets a great matchup against Friedrich, but he will be playing in a pitcher friendly stadium. Still, he can be used, as he has been consistent enough for all leagues.
First Base (1B)
Jose Abreu - Abreu has struggled for the most part this season, but he has looked great over his last 10 games. He is hitting around .350 over that span with good power. He gets a good matchup against Bauer, and he can be used in all leagues tonight.
Second Base (2B)
Jose Altuve - Altuve isn't a cheap option, but he does have elite upside with great consistency. Over his last 10 games, he is hitting well over .400 with decent power and speed. He gets an elite matchup against Lamb, and Altuve can be used in all leagues.
Shortstop (SS)
Jose Iglesias - Iglesias has been on fire recently. He's hitting over .350 over his last 10 games, and he has displayed decent power and speed. He gets a good matchup against Ventura, and Iglesias is a cheap option tonight.
Third Base (3B)
Wilmer Flores - Flores has taken over at third base for David Wright, and he's hitting over .300 in his last 10 games. He has displayed good upside, and he gets a great matchup against Gant tonight. He's best suited for GPPs right now, though.
DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings
Ben Revere - Revere has looked great recently, as he's hitting over .300 over his last 10 games and he has also been showing off his elite speed. He gets a good matchup against Friedrich, and Revere can be used in all leagues.
Shin-Soo Choo - Choo has been playing extremely well since returning from injury. His price has yet to catch up to his production, though, and it's only a matter of time before that price shoots up. Use him while he's still cheap.
Ichiro Suzuki - Ichiro has been playing unbelievably well recently, as he's hitting over .400 in his last 10 games. The Marlins are doing everything in their power to keep him in the lineup, and he should be leading off tonight. He can be used in all leagues if he is starting.
