Welcome to one of the rare occasions of the baseball season; a baseball slate coinciding with NFL football. The majority of players will be focusing on football, making this an opportunity to take advantage of contests that don't fill up.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/18/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings. The following targets have been selected for all day contests on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings
San Diego Padres vs. Chad Bettis (RHP)
Your daily reminder to always have shares in a date at Coors. Yes, Bettis has pitched well in the second half (1.13 ERA in September), but he still owns a 4.70 ERA at home and the Padres have numerous hitters who have fared well versus Bettis. The Rockies cost more to roster, making the Padres a nice way to get shares of the big scoring game of the day.
Seattle Mariners vs. Doug Fister (RHP)
Things have fallen apart for Fister at a time that the Astros need him most. He is 0-3 with a 9.35 ERA in his last four starts. The Mariners on the other hand have been on fire to close out 2016, posting a .842 OPS in September (2nd in MLB). Stack away.
Also Consider: Rangers versus Ross Detwiler (LHP)
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings
Ivan Nova, PIT @ CIN - $9,100
Ray Searage is a wizard. There's not other way around it. Since joining the Pirates rotation, Nova has a 2.41 ERA and 41/3 K/BB, which is simply ridiculous. In another must-win to keep the Pirates slim playoff hopes alive, I expect Nova to bring it once again.
Alex Reyes, STL @ SF - $6,900
Reyes is taking the spot of Jaime Garcia in the Cardinals rotation and he has surely deserved it. He has a 1.29/1.14 split with a 34/16 K/BB in 28 innings so far and provides excellent strikeout potential for a bargain price. Don't be fooled by the Giants outburst versus Luke Weaver. The Giants have struggled to end the year and the Cardinals need this game as well.
DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings
Catcher (C)
Evan Gattis, HOU - $4,500
The catcher position has become one of depth as of late, so it's wise to pay up for production. Gattis has three home runs with four RBI in his past four games and should continue to be in the lineup as the Astros push for the final Wild Card spot.
First Base (1B)
Jose Abreu. CWS - $3.700
Abreu's production has come a little too late for the White Sox, but fantasy owners can reap the benefits. Abreu has a .394/.423/.636 split in September and is hitting .357 in 27 AB versus Danny Duffy.
Second Base (2B)
Trea Turner, WAS - $5,600
Yes, he costs a lot. But do you want to bet against Turner right now? He has three HR and four RBI in his last two games and is hitting .438 with a 1.237 OPS versus Atlanta this year.
Shortstop (SS)
Luis Sardinas, SD - $3,100
The best chance to get Coors exposure with minimal pricing. Sardinas is hitting .346 with six runs, one HR, and a steal in his past 26 AB and continues to see playing time for San Diego. If he sits, switch to Andrelton Simmons.
Third Base (3B)
Ryon Healy, OAK at TEX - $3,500
How is Healy not over 50% ownership yet? He's still a bargain and he is mashing. In his past 33 AB he is hitting .485 with 10 runs, three HR and nine RBI. He's a must start until further notice, or his price tag eclipses $4K.
DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings
Brandon Drury, ARI - $4,700
Drury recently had his seven-game streak with an RBI broken but he continues to be a great source of production for Arizona. He is hitting .485 in his past 29 AB and is averaging over 15 DraftKings points over his past eight games.
Curtis Granderson, NYM - $4,700
Grandyman is a polarizing DFS option, given his tendency to strikeout too much and hit solo home runs. But it cannot be denied his power versus RHP (21 HR) and the fact his price will bring a low ownership. He is a solid tourney option.
Matt Kemp, ATL - $4,100
The Braves have to be thrilled with what they have gotten from Matt Kemp (.286, 8 HR, 30 RBI). He also has a hit in eight straight games and has scored in seven straight. He'll keep it going in what should be a bullpen game for Washington.
