DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (4/24/18): MLB DFS Lineups

We have a MASSIVE 11 game slate tonight and there are some fantastic options across the board. There are some heavy favorites on the board, and you are going to want to look at those pitchers for your cash games. Plenty of high priced bats out there, so finding value will be important.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/24/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

DraftKings Starting Pitchers

Kenta Maeda - LAD vs MIA (DK - $9,300)

Maeda is going to be one of the more popular options on tonight's slate for a number of reasons, so let's take a look. First off, before any of the numbers, he has a great matchup in front of him vs the Marlins, who are clearly one of the weakest teams in the league, so you want to pick on them when you can. He has 24 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched this season, and is now up against this Marlins team, who has a 25% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers. Maeda has yet to give up a home run this season, and with this favorable pitcher's park, we should be in for much of the same tonight.

Zach Davies - MIL @ KAN (DK - $7,000)

Davies is a bit of a cheaper option tonight and is now up against the Royals, who have scored the fourth fewest runs in the league this season. This Royals team only strikeouts out 16% of the time vs right-handed pitchers, which is second best in the majors. We won't be looking at big strikeout upside, but he has a positive park shift in his favor being away from home and this matchup is very favorable. He has over 93 pitches in three of his four starts this year, so shouldn't be an issue of him getting pulled early.

DraftKings Infielders

Alex Avila - C, ARI @ PHI (DK - $3,000)

Always nice to save a bit of money at catcher, and Avila is a solid option for that, along with having the platoon advantage tonight. He is off to a bit of a slow start this year but has better historic numbers vs right-handed pitchers. Last season he had a 134 wRC+ and a .208 ISO vs RHP. Tonight he is up against Velasquez, who is giving up a .341 wOBA to left-handed hitters.

Josh Bell - 1B, PIT vs DET (DK - $3,500)

Bell is up against Jordan Zimmerman, who is a pure gas can, and a pitcher you want to target when he is on the bump. Zimmerman is giving up .384 wOBA to left-handed hitters this season, along with 1.04 HR/9. Bell may not be off the hottest start this year, but he truly isn't that expensive and comes in with a .341 wOBA in his career vs right-handed pitchers.

DJ LeMahieu - 2B, COL vs SDP (DK - $4,700)

Anytime you can get some exposure to a game a Coors Field you should do so, and LeMahieu makes a great option for that tonight. He comes in with a .461 wOBA and a .371 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers, showing he has massive up power upside, and will likely make one of the more popular options on this slate. All of the right-handed hitters for the Rockies should be in play today but will come down to what salary you have for them.

Travis Shaw - 3B, MIL @ KAN (DK - $4,000)

Shaw has a 209 wRC+ and a .321 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers, making him one of the best options on the slate at third base. Those are elite level numbers, and yes it's still early in the year, but if he is hot right now, you don't want to pass him up. This is a bit of a negative park shift for him being away from home, but he is up against Ian Kennedy, who gave up 2.24 HR/9 to lefties last year.

Marcus Semien - SS, OAK @ TEX (DK - $3,700)

Semien has a 162 wRC+ and a .219 ISO this season versus left-handed pitchers, and seems a bit too cheap tonight given the matchup. He will get a nice boost being in Texas since this is a very favorable hitter's park compared to home in Oakland. He has three multi-hit games in a row, and a nice spot to keep it going.

DraftKings Outfielders

Mookie Betts - OF, BOS @ TOR (DK - $5,500)

Betts has eight hits over his last five games, along with four home runs. He is absolutely crushing the ball no matter what type of pitcher he is up against, so no reason to fade him on this slate. Betts has a 165 wRC+ and a .375 ISO this season versus left-handed pitchers.

Denard Span - OF, TAM @ BAL (DK - $3,300)

Span is a cheap option in the outfield, who is always hitting at the top of the lineup, and on the road to get that extra at-bat. He comes in with a five-game hitting streak in the works, and nine RBI's over this span. He also gets a nice positive park shift being away from Tampa, and is a solid cash game option tonight.
