DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Zack Greinke - P, at MIA ($10,600)
For such fantastic numbers this year, Greinke feels pretty cheap at this price. Greinke's got a 26.0% K-rate with just a 4.9% walk-rate, as well as a stellar 2.29 Deserved Run Average. He's got one of the best matchups that a pitcher can ask for against the Marlins, who have just a .296 wOBA versus righties this year, ranking them 25th. They also are home to one of the best pitcher's parks in the league. Greinke can be started with confidence.
Jon Gray - P, at SF ($9,500)
Gray has had one wild ride of a season, but if there's one thing for sure about him, it's that he can rack up strikeouts. Gray's got a 28.6% K-rate this year and is coming off of a dominant start against the Marlins where he struck out 12 batters over seven innings with no walks and just one earned run. His 3.02 FIP suggests that he's pitched much better than his ERA, and he's away from Coors Field in this matchup against the Giants. Even on the road, there's lots of risk with Gray, but his upside makes him an attractive play in GPP contests.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
Mike Zunino - C, at BAL ($3,400)
There are slim pickings at catcher today, so I like Zunino as a power flier in Baltimore. Zunino has 11 homers this year and Baltimore is one of the best hitting environments in baseball. I'd prefer to save at catcher and spend your payroll elsewhere.
Jose Abreu - 1B, vs MIN ($4,100)
Abreu homered yesterday and could go deep again on Thursday against Jake Odorizzi, owner of a 1.58 HR/9. Even if Abreu doesn't go deep, he should have a productive day as the White Sox three-hitter where he can get both runs and RBIs.
Ian Kinsler - 2B, at BOS ($3,800)
I love Kinsler atop the Angels lineup, where he can get lots of plate appearances as well as chances to score runs. Kinsler isn't having a very good year, but he's in a fantastic ballpark against a pretty easy matchup in Brian Johnson. Not bad at all for this price.
Rafael Devers - 3B, vs LAA ($4,000)
Devers has two homers and three steals (!) in his last 15 games, and he's got the same favorable ballpark as Kinsler. Angels starter Jaime Barria has a 4.77 FIP, so he hasn't been nearly as good as his ERA might make you think.
Manny Machado - SS, vs SEA ($5,000)
If you're looking for an elite bat, consider Machado at shortstop. He's got a nice matchup at home against Mike Leake, and he's got plenty of teammates that you can pair with him for a stack, including Colby Rasmus ($3,400) and Jonathan Schoop ($3,500).
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Dustin Fowler - OF, at DET ($3,600)
Fowler is one of the cheapest leadoff men you'll be able to find, even with a favorable matchup against Michael Fulmer. Fowler has a nice power/speed combo with four homers and five steals in the month-and-a-half he's been in the majors.
Scott Schebler - OF, vs MIL ($4,300)
Schebler is always worth a look when he's at home, where he can really let his power shine. Schebler's got an awesome .362 wOBA this year and is another leadoff hitter that you can take advantage of.
