DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
David Price, BOS (vs. CWS) - $9,200
Price has been outstanding over the last month, striking out 34 batters in 31 1/3 innings with a 2.87 ERA. He's way cheaper than he should be, especially when you consider his great matchup. The White Sox strike out more than any other team against left-handed pitching, at 27.0%, and their .300 wOBA versus lefties ranks them 24th. Price has a ton of upside against this lineup.
Mike Clevinger, CLE (@ DET) - $9,000
Clevinger has put together a solid season for the Indians, posting a 3.51 FIP with a 3.36 ERA. He's got an outstanding matchup against the Tigers, who have just a .299 wOBA versus righties this year, good for 26th in the league. Clevinger doesn't have a ton of upside, but he's a safe pick at a fair price to consider for cash games. Also, the Indians lineup should get him a win against Mike Fiers.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
C - Evan Gattis, HOU (@ TEX) - $4,100
Gattis has put together an absurd last 15 days, hitting six homers with a nice 1.069 OPS. He's got better career numbers against lefties, and he gets a great one to face in Mike Minor, who has a 5.76 ERA this year.
1B - Matt Adams, WAS (vs. SF) - $3,800
Adams is in a nice spot batting cleanup for the Nats, where he can rack up RBIs against Dereck Rodriguez. Rodriguez is a 26-year-old who has made just one major league start, so the Nationals lineup could have a big day against him. You won't find many other cleanup hitters at this low of a price, if any, and Adams already has 13 homers this season, so he can give you some legit power production.
2B - Ian Kinsler, LAA (@ MIN) - $3,600
Kinsler is batting .291 with a .964 OPS in the last 15 days with five homers. As the Angels leadoff man, he will have plenty of chances to score batting in front of Mike Trout. Kinsler's price should only go up from here, so buy low while you still can.
3B - Miguel Sano, MIN (vs. LAA) - $4,000
Sano is a nice contrarian play, as he's incredibly cold right now and other owners are likely staying away. I like Sano when he faces lefties, as he's got a career 127 wRC+ against southpaws. For all the struggles that Sano has had this year, he's still got seven homers in just 147 plate appearances.
SS - Ketel Marte, ARI (@ COL) - $3,600
It's tough to find a batter this cheap in Coors Field, which makes Marte a nice play at shortstop or second base. He should bat anywhere from fifth to seventh in the Diamondbacks lineup, which gives him a shot at some production in the best offensive environment in the game. Marte has a strong .986 OPS in the last 15 days, so he's coming in hot.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Lorenzo Cain, MIL (@ PHI) - $4,300
Cain has lots of value as the Brewers leadoff hitter in an extreme hitter's park in Philadelphia. He's got a career-high 14.4% walk-rate and .363 wOBA. Phillies starter Jake Arrieta likely has regression on the way, as he's got just a 17.2% K-rate and has a 4.29 Deserved Run Average.
Lonnie Chisenhall, CLE (@ DET) - $2,900
Chisenhall is a punt play to consider for your outfield. He's played in just three games this year, but posted a 129 wRC+ last season. Tigers starter Mike Fiers has a 5.10 FIP, so if and when the Indians score some runs on him, Chisenhall will likely be involved.
