DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Blake Snell, TB (vs. CWS) - $9,400
It's always risky to roll with a pitcher in their first start off of the DL, but I think it's worth it here with Snell's low price. He's got so much upside against the White Sox, who strike out 25.9% of the time against lefties, the second-highest rate in baseball. Chicago also has an awful .296 wOBA versus southpaws. Snell enters with a 2.27 ERA and a 28.3% K-rate, and he's a beautiful play in GPP contests.
Kenta Maeda, LAD (vs. HOU) - $8,300
Maeda gets to face a weakened Astros lineup that doesn't include Jose Altuve or Carlos Correa, so they're definitely not too tough of a lineup to avoid at such a low price. Maeda has a 3.10 FIP with a 28.7% K-rate - he's pitching like an ace, and this is the opportunity to get him for cheap.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
C - Salvador Perez, SEA (@ MIN) - $3,900
Perez is going nuts right now, as he's got six homers and a 1.029 OPS over the last 15 days. It's surprising that his price hasn't gotten any higher, so he's still an oustanding power flier at a weak catcher position.
1B - Anthony Rizzo, CHC (vs. SD) - $4,200
Rizzo is in a fantastic spot batting leadoff for the Cubs, where he can score lots of runs against Walker Lockett, one of the weakest pitchers on today's slate. The leadoff spot has brought life to Rizzo, who is batting .339 with four bombs in the last 15 days. The wind will be blowing out in Wrigley, so the Cubs should have a huge day.
2B - Jason Kipnis, CLE (vs. LAA) - $3,700
I like the Indians as a stack option against Felix Pena, who has a 5.23 ERA after getting shelled for seven earned runs his last time out. While Kipnis has had a poor season, he can still easily get involved in some runs and RBIs in the stacked Indians lineup. He's a solid filler play in cash games for a cheap price.
1B/3B - Miguel Sano, MIN (vs. KC) - $4,200
Sano is a GPP power upside play who can have a big day against Burch Smith, owner of a 6.00 ERA with a 1.67 HR/9. He's got an .814 OPS since returning from the disabled list.
SS - Jose Peraza, CIN (@ WAS) - $3,900
Peraza has had himself a nice fantasy season with 17 steals, and can do a lot of damage out of the Reds leadoff spot. It's great to get a leadoff hitter for a low price, as he will maximize plate appearances against Jeremy Hellickson, who has just an 18.9% K-rate.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Andrew McCutchen, SF (@ ARI) - $4,100
DBacks starter Clay Buchholz feels like he's had a complete mirage of a season, so I'm rolling with Cutch batting leadoff against him. He's a good cash game play with a high floor, as you'd figure he will give you at least some sort of production on Saturday.
Steve Pearce, BOS (vs. NYY) - $4,300
Why not keep rolling with Pearce at this price, as he bats third for Boston between Andrew Benintendi and J.D. Martinez. That's a lock for some runs and RBIs in one of the best offensive environments in baseball. Pearce, of course, has four homers in his last two games.
Brett Gardner, NYY (@ BOS) - $4,300
As a leadoff hitter in Fenway, Gardner can see lots of fantasy points. He's not a great hitter, but it's hard for him to not score runs in that lineup. Eovaldi is susceptible to a blow-up start here.
