DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice - NBA DFS Lineup Picks for 12/15/15

It’s a rather weird slate for Tuesday. There are only four games but at least three of the four should be rather high scoring and each roster has low level and mid-tier players that are projected to get serious minutes. This means that tournaments and cash games will most likely have high scoring numbers. Good luck on Tuesday night.

In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for DraftKings for 12/15/15. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

Without wasting anymore time, let's get down to it!

DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Isaiah Thomas (vs CLE, $7,700)

The suspension of Rajon Rondo leaves Thomas as the premier point guard for cash game plays. Thomas has really taken advantage of his chances with Marcus Smart out. He is averaging 1.17 DraftKings fantasy points per minute and has been consistently putting in 34+ minutes every start. Though Cleveland is known as a defensive efficient team, there are some holes in the perimeter. Since Matthew Dellavedova was inserted in the starting lineup nearly 10 games ago, the Cavs rank in the bottom three in DraftKings fantasy points per game (DKFPPG) allowed to opposing point guards.

Zach LaVine (vs DEN, $5,500)

Jameer Nelson, Darren Collison and Patrick Beverley are all cheaper than LaVine and all have plus matchups in their respective games, so all three could be owned heavily in all formats. Even LaVine’s teammate Ricky Rubio looks like a solid play. But if you’re trying to win a tournament, you gotta select a guy that perhaps no one else will have. LaVine has dropped at least 25 DKFP in seven of his last nine games and with Rubio still being Rubio, i.e. playing erratic minutes that mostly drop below 30 while still a breakaway away from tearing an ACL, LaVine has monster upside when playing with the first unit.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

James Harden (vs PHO, $10,800)

Houston-Sacramento opened up with a total of 220 projected points. Two hundred and twenty! If the law of averages does pan out tonight in SacTown, Harden is due to be involved in 32.4 percent of all the scoring done by the Rockets, as that is his usage rate. Before the ball is even tipped, we can chalk in Harden for at least 28 points and six assists. Add in that the Kings have allowed the second most DKFP to opposing two guards on the year while playing the league’s fastest pace, uh yeah, fear the beard. Fear the beard in all formats.

Kevin Martin (vs DEN, $4,700)

The price on Martin has risen only slightly but his production has really spiked over the last three games. He has chucked up 19.7 shots per game over his last three, shooting 45.8 percent from the field during that span. He played two straight games in which he was on the court for at least 40 minutes and the only reason he didn’t play more than 25 minutes in the previous game was because Minnesota was getting blown out. Martin is a strong tournament play against a Denver team that is on the second string of a back-to-back.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

LeBron James (vs BOS, $10,000)

Still a chalk play at the ripe old age of 30, the Chosen One has dropped at least 32.8 DKFP in every single game this season. LBJ is the third most expensive player on the board but he should be a favorite to score the most fantasy points bar none. There are plenty of exploitable matchups on the slate at every position, so it’s possible to fit at least two or maybe three studs in your lineups. Be sure to include LeBron against the Celtics.

Omri Casspi (vs HOU, $5,600)

Khris Middleton is on fire and is an interesting play as well, but I’ll take the overall point total in the Houston-Sacramento matchup. The injury to Willie-Cauley Stein has given Casspi a lot of scoring chances and he has not disappointed. Over his last five, he is averaging 13.2 points, six boards and 1.8 assists per game which comes to 22.6 DraftKings fantasy points per game. That doesn’t even include three-point field goals, double-doubles, blocks nor steals. Let’s call 22.6 points the floor in what should be an insanely high scoring game.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

DeMarcus Cousins (vs HOU, $10,200)

If you want to pay up here for Boogie, I get it. I really do. The dude has exceptional potential to absolutely crush the Rockets by himself. Houston trails only the Sixers in fantasy points allowed to opposing power forwards. But Boogie has been rather erratic over the last two weeks and there’s really no telling when he is going to foul out. It seems he and Rondo have a nice flow when on the court, but Rondo will be out Tuesday night due to suspension. There’s really no telling where he could end up from a per dollar aspect.

Kevin Love (at BOS, $8,00)

From a value per dollar ratio, Love makes much more sense than Boogie. Jared Sullinger and Amir Johnson have been rather forgiving as of late to opposing big men, giving up nearly 53 DKFPPG over Boston’s last five. Love presents all sorts of matchup problems from the perimeter for the aforementioned Boston big men and he should be able to make them uncomfortable enough to get frustrated early. If it’s down to Boogie and Love, dial in to the Love connection.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Greg Monroe (at LAL, $7,100)

The center position as a whole is just gross on the slate, so there’s a strong possibility that Monroe is owned in 80 percent of all leagues. But you kind of have to roll with him. The guy is on a bit of a tear right now as he has averaged 38.375 DKFPPG over his last six. That’s a 5.4 fold return at the center position out of the gate. To sweeten the pot, let’s add in the Los Angeles Lakers and their (un)defensive prowess in the interior. I have no problems starting my fantasy lineups with Monroe occupying the five.
