Another four-game slate is on tap for this Tuesday. The small amount of games means that cash and 50/50 games are likely to get saturated by randomness and wild cards. But fear not! The Sixers and Lakers are both playing. You could probably get away with stacking Grizzlies and Nuggets in the long run.

In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for DraftKings for 12/22/15. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Reggie Jackson (at MIA, $7,600)

You would think that Kyle Lowry would be the top projected point guard on the slate. You’d think that. But he has been atrocious from the field as of late. He’s about three chucked-up shots from screaming “raindrops” and getting anointed as the second coming of Sandy from Along Came Polly. RJ is the remedy to the Lowry Low. Dude has ripped off 43.1 DraftKings points per game over his last six, though it should be noted that it took a quadruple overtime game for him to reach 60.5 in his last outing. Jackson will attempted to be stopped by none other than Goran Dragic, who has given up points and assists totals of 32/9, 21/4 and 22/10 to the last three starting point guards.

Jameer Nelson (vs LAL, $5,400)

The only team worse than the Nuggets at defending the point is….drumroll, please….the Lakers. Big surprise, right? Truth be told, I am not in love with Nelson here, but he is the best option in an otherwise poor field. Lou Williams presents some value but will most likely be splitting time with D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson. With the injuries that the Nuggets have sustained, there’s really no one behind Nelson that he will be fighting for minutes.

 

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

DeMar DeRozan (vs DAL, $7,400)

We all thought it would be Lowry that would take over the scoring duties for the severely hobled Raptors. Instead, it was DeRozan. Dude has ripped off seven straight games in which he has scored at least 35.3 DraftKings points, going 63-for-130 from the field during that span. That’s an average of 18.6 shots per game and there’s no evidence to suggest any decline in usage rate in the near future. Roll with DeRozan confidently in every format.

Will Barton (vs LAL, $6,600)

About as automatic as DeRozan is Mr. Barton himself. For starters, he is the best player on the Nuggets bar none. He is setting career highs in points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks and just about every other statistic you can name. Despite coming off the bench in every game save one this season, he is still playing nearly 29 minutes per outing. All of this evidence suggests an upward trend as Barton will be looked upon even more should Danilo Gallinari not suit up, while adding some time at the point to spell Nelson. I love Barton in every format.

 

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

Matt Barnes (at PHI, $5,500)

Here comes the part in every article where a recommendation is made in which fantasy owners should pick a player based on the deficiencies of the Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers. Barnes adds a little bit of everything- he’s a plus defender, can rebound and has been seeing a nice usage rate on the offensive side ever since he was inserted into the starting lineup.

James Johnson (vs DAL, $3,900)

For simple value purposes, Johnson makes sense. Toronto has been reeling offensively and will need anyone to step up. The injury to DeMarre Carroll pushed Johnson into the starting lineup and the recent poor play of Lowry has forced him to become a scorer. Johnson has scored at least 26.25 DraftKings points over his last two, good enough for nearly a 7x fold return for his owners. Expect a high return again on Tuesday as he continues to log over 30 minutes.

 

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

Chris Bosh (vs DET, $7,000)

Dirk Nowitzki is six hundred fake dollars cheaper and seems like a safer play for fantasy, but his minutes are so erratic that you cannot really trust him. For cash game plays, I’ll be rolling out the guy below, but for tournaments, Bosh makes sense. He is smart and savy enough to get Ersan Ilyasova into foul trouble, and he is versatile enough to get any other defender out of their comfort zone near the interior. He has gone 24-for-48 for the field over his last four games and he has continued to maintain his high free throw percentage. Look for his recent shooting surge to continue.

Kenneth Faried (vs LAL, $6,100)

Here’s my guy. Though his minutes may not eclipse over 34 as the Nuggets continue to work him back from his injury, Faried has the physical ability to mentally (and physically, HAHA) dominate the Lakers. Plus, if Gallinari is out, Denver will absolutely have to rely on Faried’s scoring ability. Hopefully his free throws drop on Tuesday. He has gone to the charity stripe 34 times over his last five with all kinds of sporadic results.

 

DraftKings DFS Centers

Marc Gasol (at PHI, $7,500)

Barring any type of blowout, Gasol should dominate the worst frontcourt in the Assocation. He has the tools to go nasty inside or hit a 15 foot jump shoot with a defender in his face. Jahlil Okafor has looked good at times, but he isn’t nearly good or smart enough to cover younger Gasol. With the Grizzlies as a 10 point favorite, a blowout is concerning, but I will take a chance of him putting up a 20/10/4 spot through three quarters.
