Draftkings DFS Point Guards
Russell Westbrook (vs NOP, $11,200)
This just in: Westbrook is a stud. And if you’re looking for a reason to not roster him, I cannot give one. The Thunder don’t really blow teams out, especially when they’re favored heavily. I imagine he will be the most heavily owned player on the board across the industry.
Jrue Holiday (at OKC, $6,800)
Ok Alvin Gentry. No more fooling around. The Bryce DeJean-Jones experiment has failed so it’s time to roll out the combo of Holiday and Norris Cole. Holiday is averaging a little over 50 DraftKings points over his last two games despite playing a little less than 30 minutes per game. Tonight’s matchup against OKC figures to be a high paced one, giving Holiday plenty of chances to stack the stat sheet.
DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards
Khris Middleton (vs WAS, $6,900)
The Wizards are playing! The Wizards are playing! Washington allows fantasy points in gobs to opposing two guards and swing men, and that’s just where Middleton plays. The Wizards are yielding the highest three-point field goal percentage to opponents and guess who on the Bucks is shooting over 40% from behind the arc?? That’s right- the Middle Man! Not really sure if that is his nickname, seems a little too corny.
Dion Waiters (vs NO, $4,600)
Waiters serves up a ton of dud performances, but he does have a rather high ceiling if he can put it all together. He dropped 30.25 DraftKings points in his last game, good enough for near 7x value. A performance like that again, which is a big if, should bring some nice real money to his owners.
DraftKings DFS Small Forwards
Kevin Durant (vs NO, $10,400)
Thirty points, five rebounds and four assists is just another day of work for KD. In fact, let’s start his game with those numbers. I mean, is Alonzo Gee really going to slow him down?
Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs WAS, $7,100)
Boy the price on Alphabet is getting rather high, but he should easily slice through the porous Washington defense on Thursday night. A lot easier than writers having to spell his name.
DraftKings DFS Power Forwards
Anthony Davis (at OKC, $9,700)
I would love to roster Westbrook, KD and the Brow, but honestly that does not seem possible. Of the three, the Brow seems to be the odd man out, but not because he will play poorly. His projected point total is the lowest of the heavy hitters for the slate. Sorry, Brow. It’s just business.
Ryan Anderson (at OKC, $5,700)
Anderson is in a nice spot against the Thunder. He should see some nice run with the second unit and after only playing 24 minutes on Wednesday, he should be as fresh as produce for an up-tempo game. OKC typically does not blow teams out because the bench unit is pretty poor at playing defense, so look for Anderson to splash from the perimeter early and often.
DraftKings DFS Centers
Greg Monroe (vs WAS, $7,000)
So, what exactly is Jason Kidd doing? Greg Monroe was relegated to the bench last game for some odd reason, presumably to “shake things up,” and although it kind of worked out with a win, it took a lot of court time from usual starter Monroe to will the Bucks to victory. Even if he is coming off the bench again, Monroe should take advantage of a weak Wizards interior defense, as it seems Marcin Gortat is kind of slow to actually slow down opposing centers.
Steven Adams (vs NO, $4,300)
As much as Enes Kanter is a better play, Adams is more cost effective if you want to fit in the big boys. The Pelicans recently took the number one spot from the Lakers in giving up points to the center position, and with the one-two punch of Adams and Kanter, it will look to stay that way. At the very least, Adams has some nice upside in the block department against Omer Asik and co.
