TGIF, fellow fantasy owners. There is a solid nine-game slate tonight, and a few of the faster teams in the league are scheduled to play. For instance, the Portland Trailblazers will take on the Orlando Magic, and the Houston Rockets will attempt to outscore the Memphis Grizzlies. This should be a fun and interesting night.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/13/17. DraftKings DFS Guards
Kyle Lowry - PG, vs BKN ($8,500)
Kyle Lowry is the best overall guard option on the board tonight, as he has over 45 fantasy points in three of his last four games. Against the Chicago Bulls, he posted over 65 fantasy points in 44 minutes. He has been scoring more than usual of recent, and he is still assisting the ball with ease. There is no reason to avoid him tonight against the Brooklyn Nets, one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Lowry is very likely going to hit value, so roster him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments.
Eric Gordon - SG, vs MEM ($5,500)
Eric Gordon gets overshadowed quite a bit by James Harden, and for good reason, but he has great upside, as well. In his last four games, he has over 30 fantasy points in all of them, even posting over 40 fantasy points in 36 minutes against the Washington Wizards. Gordon shifts around, playing multiple positions for the Houston Rockets. This results in him seeing around 30-35 minutes per game. Tonight, he gets a tough matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, but he should still be able to at least hit value. He has been shooting around 20 times per game of recent, and if that continues, he will continue to produce. Roster him in all leagues at his low price tag.
Also Consider: Patrick Beverley - PG, vs MEM ($5,100)
DraftKings DFS Forwards
LeBron James - SF, at SAC ($9,700)
LeBron James is obviously one of the best fantasy players in the league. He has over 50 fantasy points in three of his last five games, and he has not scored under 40 fantasy points since the end of December. The Sacramento Kings are horrible defensively, and Rudy Gay attempting to stop James from scoring is almost laughable. If this game stays close, James will have a huge fantasy outing. Even if this game gets a little bit out of control, which is rather likely, James should at least hit 40-50 fantasy points, which is not great, but is solid, for his price tag. Roster him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments with confidence.
Serge Ibaka - PF/C, at POR ($6,200)
Serge Ibaka can be rostered at the power forward and center positions, so he does have a little bit of versatility. That will help when attempting to fit him into both cash game and tournament lineups. Ibaka is not the most consistent player in the league, but he has at least 30 fantasy points in five of his last six games, so for the time being, he can be rostered in 50/50 contests. The Portland Trailblazers are one of the fastest teams in the league, and that should benefit Ibaka in both the rebounding and scoring categories. If he throws in a few extra blocks, he could see 40 plus fantasy points.
Also Consider: Trevor Ariza - SF, vs MEM ($5,200)
DraftKings DFS Centers
Marc Gasol - C, at HOU ($6,900)
Mason Plumlee is a little bit safer of an option, as his price tag is a little bit lower and his consistency is about the same, but Marc Gasol is the better tournament option. He has over 40 fantasy points in two of his last five games, and even with Mike Conley back, Gasol has been a big part of the Memphis Grizzlies offensive attack. The Houston Rockets are not great defensively against opposing big men, and with the tempo the Rockets play at, it will be difficult for them to stop Gasol for four quarters. He should get off to a rather hot start and keep that momentum going for the rest of the game. Do not roster Gasol in 50/50 contests. There are better options for cash games.
Also Consider: Mason Plumlee - C, vs ORL ($5,600)
