DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (1/15/17): NBA DFS Advice

This is an awkward slate tonight, so this article will focus only on the main DraftKings slate tonight. That starts at 9:00 PM EST, so there is plenty of time to get all that research done!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/15/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @thedominatordfs.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Mike Conley - PG, vs CHI ($7,200)

Despite Russell Westbrook being on the board tonight, Mike Conley is the best point guard option. His price tag is too low across the daily fantasy industry right now, and he should be able to at least hit value against the Chicago Bulls. In his last five games, he has over 40 fantasy points in four of them, posting over 50 fantasy points in 41 minutes against the Golden State Warriors. Conley is 100 percent healthy, and he is back to dominating opposing defenses. The Chicago Bulls are not great defensively against opposing point guards, and pairing Conley with Marc Gasol is tournaments is a great strategy.

D'Angelo Russell - PG, vs DET, ($6,100)

D'Angelo Russell is a great option in tournaments tonight against the Detroit Pistons. In his last four games, he has at least 35 fantasy points in three games and over 40 fantasy points in two games. The Detroit Pistons are not horrible defensively, but the Los Angeles Lakers are going to force the pace of the game, and that should benefit Russell. He is best suited for tournaments, but with only three games on the slate tonight, can also be used in 50/50 contests. His price tag is very reasonable.

Also Consider: Darren Collison - PG/SG, vs OKC ($4,100)

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Jimmy Butler - SG/SF, at MEM ($8,800)

Jimmy Butler looked horrendous in his last outing, which was against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He failed to even post over 15 fantasy points in 29 minutes on the court. Prior to that, however, he posted 69 fantasy points against the Toronto Raptors in 44 minutes. Two games prior to that explosive performance, Butler posted 85 fantasy points in 38 minutes against the Charlotte Hornets. It is safe to say that his upside is fantastic. The Memphis Grizzlies are a tough defensive team, but without many solid small forward or shooting guard options, Butler can be used in all leagues.

Enes Kanter - PF/C, at SAC ($5,900)

Enes Kanter is one of the best overall options on the board tonight. He has been consistently hitting value game after game for the Oklahoma City Thunder. In his last three games, he has at least 33 fantasy points in all of them and over 40 fantasy points in two. The Sacramento Kings are horrible defensively, and Kanter should continue his hot streak. He is very likely going to at least hit value, and his upside is as great as any power forward option on the board, aside from DeMarcus Cousins.

Also Consider: Reggie Bullock - SF, at LAL ($3,000)

DraftKings DFS Centers

Marc Gasol - C, vs CHI ($7,100)

Marc Gasol is a solid center option tonight for tournaments. Steven Adams, despite his poor performance in his last game, is the best cash game center available. Gasol can be paired with Mike Conley, as both of them are the entire Memphis Grizzlies offense. The Chicago Bulls are not great defensively, and Gasol should be able to score at will. In his last six games, he has over 35 fantasy points in four of them. He has been struggling somewhat of recent, but that is likely due to Conley's increased production level. That will all even out in due time.

Also Consider: Steven Adams - C, at SAC ($5,300)
