Has anyone else noticed that earlier in the season 250 fantasy points was enough to cash in a contest, but now it takes closer to 280+ fantasy points to cash? It's just a though, but I'd like to see DraftKings tighten up the prices a bit.
Okay, so back to business. In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/5/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays on DraftKings.

DraftKings DFS Guards
James Harden (at CHI, $10,500)
James Harden has been on fire recently, as he’s averaging 36.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 2.6 steals per game over the last 10 days. The matchup isn’t ideal, as Jimmy Butler will be returning tonight, and he’s an elite defender. With that being said, this will be Butler’s first game in quite some time and Harden has been matchup proof recently. He has 70+ fantasy point upside, and the Bulls have struggled defensively this season. He can be used in all leagues.
Zach LaVine (vs BKN, $5,700)
LaVine has been playing extremely well since getting the starting nod, and he has also been fairly consistent. He has the ability to score at a high level, but he can also contribute in a couple other categories. He has been scoring around 30 fantasy points a night, and he has the ability for much more. He gets an easy matchup against the Nets, who have struggled defensively this season. LaVine comes with a small amount of risk, but he can be used in all leagues.
Eric Gordon (vs UTA, $5,300)
Gordon is a risky player because he relies so heavily on scoring, but he comes with great upside, as well. He has scored 44.25 and 36.75 fantasy points in two of his first three games back from injury, and he’s clearly a huge part of the Pelicans offense. He has played 30+ minutes in each of his first three games, and that will continue tonight. The matchup isn’t ideal, as the Jazz are one of the slowest paced teams in the NBA, but Gordon still makes a great GPP option.
DraftKings DFS Forwards
Kawhi Leonard (vs SAC, $7,900)
Leonard is coming off a huge 59.75 fantasy point performance against the Pelicans, and he has now scored 40+ fantasy points in eight consecutive games. He gets a great matchup against the Kings, who have really struggled defensively against elite players this season. Leonard has dominated them twice this season, as he’s averaging 40.1 fantasy points in only 29.5 minutes per game this season. This game could be a blowout, which is a cause for concern, but Leonard has been hitting value in blowouts recently, and he can be used in all leagues.
Trevor Ariza (at CHI, $6,000)
Ariza is averaging an impressive 11.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 3.2 steals per game over the last 10 days. He recently scored 53.5 fantasy points against the Bucks, as he nearly triple doubled, which shows his upside. Tonight, he gets a matchup against the Bulls, who are an average team against the small forward this season. Chicago has been pushing the pace more this year, which will give Ariza more opportunities for fantasy points, and he’s a good GPP option.
Bobby Portis (vs HOU, $5,200)
Taj Gibson is currently listed as questionable, and if he’s out, Bobby Portis will make a great option. He has been playing minutes in the high-20s, and he is averaging 29.25 fantasy points per game over the last three games. The Rockets love to push the pace, and they have given up a few huge games to power forwards this season. Portis has great upside, and he can be used in all leagues if Gibson is ruled out tonight. If Gibson starts, Portis can still be used in GPPs.
DraftKings DFS Centers
Dwight Howard (at CHI, $7,900)
Dwight Howard has been playing well over the last 10 days, as he’s averaging 17.8 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game. Tonight, he gets a matchup against the Bulls, who have been dealing with injuries in the frontcourt and have been the worst defense in the NBA against centers. Howard should have no problems dominating the paint tonight, and he can be used in all leagues for his price.
