We have an exciting NBA slate on the DFS menu tonight that features four games beginning at 7 p.m EST. Be sure to set your NBA lineups before turning your attention to NFL lineups for Thursday Night Football. Despite being only a four-game slate, there is plenty to like tonight with three of the four games having an over/under of 230 or more points. The outlier is the NYK/DEN matchup, which is the game with the most blowout risk. The PHI/WAS matchup offers tremendous upside but is easily the second most likely to see stars sitting out in the fourth quarter. The matchups of PHO/NO and HOU/TOR have spreads of less than three points indicating that these two games are the most likely to be competitive.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/5/19. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before line-up lock.
While the NYK/DEN matchup has the lowest total and most blowout risk, it also is the game that has the most mispriced players in my opinion. Trying to figure out the Knicks rotation this year has been a disaster so be careful when building lineups. Outside of a few players on the Knicks, I plan to mainly target the Denver side of this matchup.

DraftKings DFS Guards
Kyle Lowry - PG, vs HOU ($7000)
Despite Kyle Lowry just returning from injury last game, minutes were not an issue for the veteran guard as he logged 40+ minutes in his first action since November 8th. Even with a poor shooting performance of 2 for 11, Lowry was still able to score over 40 DK points. This $7k price tag is simply too cheap for Lowry in a matchup that should be up-tempo and feature plenty of scoring. Look for Lowry to be heavily involved in the offense and bounce back from the poor shooting outing.
Jrue Holiday- PG/SG, vs PHO ($7,300)
It has not been an ideal start to the season for Holiday and the Pelicans. On Thursday, they will look to end a six-game losing streak when they face the Phoenix Suns. I must admit that targetting Holiday this season has been tough with the emergence of Brandon Ingram in this offense. We have seen Holiday's production take a hit, but he is now at a price point that warrants our attention. Even though Holiday has been a bit underwhelming, Alvin Gentry is still playing him an insane 36 minutes per game. Look for this continue in a matchup that should be close where Holiday's on-ball defense is needed against Ricky Rubio and Devin Booker.
DraftKings DFS Forwards
Frank Kaminsky - PF/C, @ NOP ($5,300)
Frank the Tank is set to start alongside PF Dario Saric in the frontcourt for the Suns tonight. While there are plenty of players with higher ceilings on the slate, consider Kaminsky in lineups that you are looking for a solid price and floor. In a game that should feature plenty of scoring, Kaminsky could easily hit 30 DK points and pay off his salary.
If you are an aggressive tournament player, give Cheick Diallo a look when preparing lineups. Diallo has been productive in limited minutes this season and this game is against his former team. Without Aron Baynes, Diallo has taken advantage of increased playing time. If Saric or Kaminsky get into foul trouble or play poorly, we could see a big game for Diallo relative to his price tag.
If we get word of Baynes playing in this matchup, it would significantly lower my interest in everyone at the position.
Brandon Ingram - SF/PF, vs PHO ($8,200)
While Holiday is my preference, I plan to target Ingram as well in lineups to get as much exposure to this game as possible. Outside of a game stack, my approach will be to use them separately on lineups and hope one of the two has a ceiling game. Ingram has looked extremely comfortable in this offense thus far this season and has become a much more confident player. He leads the team with a 28.5 usage rate in what has been a career year for the developing star. Until the return of Zion Williamson, Ingram and Holiday will continue to be the primary fantasy targets.
DraftKings DFS Centers
Clint Capela - C, @ TOR ($7,900)
Clint Capela has been one of my favorite selections all season as the 25-year-old has become one of the best centers in the league. Capela is feasting on the boards and really benefits from having at least one of Westbrook and Harden on the floor with him at all times. In addition to getting several easy buckets from the penetration of Harden and Westbrook, Capela is average career highs in both blocks and steals. One reason I like playing Capela, and Rockets players in general, is the consistency we see from coach Mike D'Antoni in terms of rotation and minutes. Capela should continue to see heavy minutes unless he finds himself in foul trouble. The argument against Capela tonight is that he draws a tough matchup against the Toronto frontcourt.
