DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (4/21/19): NBA DFS Lineups

The Damian Lillard, Russell Westbrook saga continues and they continue to raise each others ceiling in DFS contests. Weirdly enough, you shouldn't NEED to roster either tonight to put up some serious numbers. Instead of spending up for any specific player, I'd say play some of the Warriors, mainly because of the lack of value tonight. Kevin Durant, Curry, and Thompson's prices won't cause major problems for the rest of your roster, but you will need one serious value play, luckily I have that planned out for you.

The Clippers-Warriors game should be the highest scoring, with the Portland-Oklahoma City right behind. Most of the value will be in the latter game so make sure you stay updated with starting rosters, specifically Portland.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/21/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups too early.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Darren Collison - PG vs. BOS ($4,700)

Darren Collison hasn't shown out yet in this series and the Pacers will be clinging to whatever works in an elimination game. Collison has been consistently producing, but the Celtics defense is clearly causing slight problems. Even though he hasn't been efficient lately, he is still taking at least 10 shots and they should start falling now that Indiana is in pure desperation mode. He might score 20 points on 20 shots, but luckily we don't get penalized for high-volume shot attempts.

Rodney Hood - SG/SF at OKC ($3,200)

Despite his usage being in the dumpster, and his recent game log not impressing...this is going to be a tough sell. After last game, Hood was in foul trouble and the Thunder were able to pull away at the right time. I don't expect the struggle to continue and Hood is going to find his shot between Game 4 and Game 5. With only 60 minutes of playoff exposure this season, I expect Hood to take another game or two to get his rhythm.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Paul George - SF/PF vs. POR ($8,900)

This is why you don't give yourself a nickname. Paul George has maybe had two or three solid playoff performances after "introducing" us to "Playoff P." He still produces, but not like the All-Star we have seen all season and basically all his career. He absolutely needs to start going off to really calm the waters and until he has one of those games, he will be haunted by the nickname he seemingly isn't living up to. Tonight won't be his last chance, but if the Thunder want to keep momentum in this series, George needs to be more efficient. Look for him to take better shots and stay away from tossing up three's just because.

Serge Ibaka - PF/C at ORL ($5,100)

You can go with Marcus Morris as well, but I prefer Serge Ibaka tonight. The Magic frontcourt has been a bright spot all season, but Ibaka is rebounding with consistency and he clearly knows his role. He isn't taking that many bad shots and even when he does shoot, it's clear he is just trying to establish some offensive rhythm. Since Pascal Siakam has been playing so well, Ibaka should continue to defer offense towards the more skilled players. That doesn't mean he won't get the ball, but look for him to be more effective in his mid-range, paint protecting role.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Nikola Vucevic - C vs. TOR ($8,000)

For rostering a center, Nikola Vucevic is your only legitimate option. You can risk it if you want, but it's extremely promising to see Vucevic producing in his first taste of post-season exposure. Even if Vucevic only logs half the stats he did in Game 3, that's still a better option that half the Centers listed today. The Magic need to keep the game close and while I trust Vucevic to most of the heavy-lifting, any boost from his teammates increases his upside. The Toronto frontcourt can't really do anything about Vucevic if he is hitting, so look for Orlando to force-feed the ball inside and make the Raptors stop him.
