DraftKings DFS – NBA Fantasy Basketball Advice & Value Picks (3/30/2015)

Below are some DraftKings DFS lineup picks for today’s NBA action, March 30th, 2015. These players represent potential fantasy basketball sleepers based on their matchups, and can be strong DFS lineup plays based on their DraftKings prices and dollar values.

Keep in mind, DFS fantasy basketball is a fast-paced environment that includes last minute changes, so be sure to check NBA injury reports and your DFS lineups prior to tip-off.

Worth the DraftKings Investment

DeMar DeRozan (TOR, G) - $7,800

Not very often in a game that features James Harden, does the top guard play come from the opponent. However, that is the case tonight as the Raptors take on the Rockets at home. Since returning from injury, DeRozan has seen a ton of minutes and has produced at nearly a fantasy point per minute over that time. He has only been under 30 fantasy points one time in the last 10 outings, and that game was 29.75 fantasy points. Even better, DeRozan is contributing in a variety of categories not just scoring, as his last game saw him score just six points while posting an impressive 10 rebounds and seven assists. In an up-pace game, DeRozan should have free reign to keep his team close.

Nerlens Noel (PHI, F) - $7,800

This almost feels like stealing, but Noel is a must play in all of your lineups tonight. The Sixers rookie has been an absolute fantasy monster of late with his combination of points, rebounds, blocks and steals. He has scored over 50 Draftkings points in three of his past five games, including the last two, and plays a Lakers team that is starting Ryan Kelly and Tarik Black in the frontline. He is one of the few Sixers players consistently, seeing over 30 minutes, and has rewarded fantasy owners with 54 points, 39 rebounds, 7 assists, 10 blocks and 6 steals over the past three games. There is a fantastic chance that he puts up over 60 fantasy points tonight and could easily be the top scoring player of the night.

Zaza Pachulia (MIL, C) - $6,100

Pachulia should make for a great GPP play tonight, as he is playing his best basketball of the season and should be a low-owned player allowing you to be contrarian. The Bucks big man has scored over 10 points in each of his last 10 games while also pulling down 10 plus rebounds in half of those contests. Along with that, Pachulia generally chips in six steal or block points which makes getting to 5x value much easier. Another reason he will make a great GPP option is that many players will see the red "1st "next to his name showing Miami as the top defense against fantasy centers in the league. Those stats were generally picked up with a healthy Chris Bosh and Hassan Whiteside in the lineup. With both of those players out Monday, Pachulia should have no issue posting a double-double against Udonis Haslem and Chris Anderson.

DraftKings Sleepers & Value Picks

Chase Budinger (MIN, F) - $4,900

It feels wrong that at $4,900 Budinger seems like a tremendous value play tonight, but that is exactly the case. With the plethora of injuries in Minnesota, the Timberwolves have been playing most of their games with only eight healthy bodies, which means a ton of minutes for everyone. Over the last seven games, Budinger has played at least 26 minutes and posted more than 28 fantasy points in all but one. The one issue with Budinger is that he is generally reliant on scoring, which can make for a scary play. However, keep in mind that you get a three-point bonus, which can help offset a poor night shooting. Assuming Kevin Martin is out, expect Budinger to be one of the most popular plays on the board.

Robert Covington (PHI, F) - $4,800

The Tank Bowl between the Lakers and Sixers may not be the most exciting game to watch as a fan tonight, but it could be a gold mine for fantasy players. That could certainly be the case for Covington who has been a bit erratic of late. Over the past 10 games Covington has six games under 20 fantasy points, but also has games of 30.75, 41.5 and 40.0 fantasy points. He is seeing a consistent 25 or more minutes per night, but like Budinger his fantasy value is tied directly to his shooting. Two games ago he was 8/17 shooting with 41.5 fantasy points, but followed that up with a 0/4 with just 10.75 fantasy points on Friday. Needing only 24 fantasy points to hit value, Covington seems like a solid value play that has an outside chance to hit 10x value if he can get hot from the three point line.
