DraftKings DFS – NBA Fantasy Basketball Advice & Value Picks (3/18/15)

Below are some DraftKings DFS lineup picks for today’s NBA action, March 18th, 2015. These players represent potential fantasy basketball sleepers based on their matchups, and can be strong DFS lineup plays based on their DraftKings prices and dollar values.

Keep in mind, DFS fantasy basketball is a fast-paced environment that includes last minute changes, so be sure to check NBA injury reports and your DFS lineups prior to tip-off.

Worth the DraftKings Investment

Kyle Lowry (Tor, G) - $7,400

Since a few days of rest earlier this month, Lowry has absolutely been on fire. That has culminated with three games over 50 fantasy points, including a monster 60.25 fantasy point triple-double on Monday. He looks to be healthy with over 35 minutes in all six games since returning from injury. Tonight Lowry gets an A+ match-up at home against a Minnesota Timberwolves team that has started a tailspin to the worst record in the NBA. Lowry has an all-around game fantasy players love, with five three pointers made in three of the past four games, a triple-double, and 32 points recently. Considering he is sitting at just $7,400, it will be tough not to play Lowry tonight.

Draymond Green (GS, F) - $7,200

After a few games where both teams were resting key players, the battle between the top teams in the East and West should be a full on tilt with major players playing major minutes. Although it may not seem like it, the absence of Klay Thompson (ankle injury) will be a boost for Green who is likely to move up to the role of second scoring option behind Stephen Curry. He does not have a great match-up as both DeMarre Carroll and Paul Millsap are good defenders. However, Green contributes in so many ways that it's hard to imagine him not hitting value in what should be big minutes. Despite only playing a total of 59 minutes over the last two games, Green had a combined 79.75 fantasy points. That's well over the one fantasy point per minute we are looking for. Roll out Green in both cash games and GPP’s tonight.

Nikola Vucevic (ORL, C) - $8,300

The incredibly consistent Vucevic has continued his recent streak of good games lately and has boosted his season totals to 19.6 points, 11.2 rebounds and 39.3 fantasy points per game. He does not get the huge block or steal totals of centers such as DeAndre Jordan or Rudy Gobert, but with the double-double bonus on Draftkings Vucevic has as much upside as those players. Tonight he gets to face a Dallas Mavericks interior that is 26th on the season in fantasy points allowed to opposing centers and has given up several double-doubles recently. Look for Vucevic to get at least 40 fantasy points tonight, which is good enough for 5x value tonight.

DraftKings Sleepers & Value Picks

Steven Adams (OKC, C)  - $4,000

With news that Serge Ibaka is out for 4-6 weeks, both Enes Kanter and Steven Adams have picked up their fantasy games in a big way. Adams has returned to the starting lineup and rewarded owners with 23.25, 36.25 and 23.5 fantasy totals over the previous three games. With his ability to rack up a ton of blocks and rebounds, Adams can hit value without nearly any scoring. The only worry is the fact that he has fouled out in each of the last two games. However, the good news is tonight Boston plays a fairly weak front court that is not likely to draw a lot of fouls on the Thunder big men.

Justin Holiday (GS, G) - $3,200

This pick is somewhat contingent on if Holiday does in fact draw the start tonight for an injured Klay Thompson. When he was inserted into the starting lineup last week against the Denver Nuggets, Holiday posted a ridiculous 34.25 fantasy points in 36 minutes. The positive news is that the following game with Thompson back he still put up a solid 25.5 fantasy points in 22 minutes. If Holiday does in fact start he should be a great plug and play for a near minimum salary. If he is relegated to a bench role use him more as a punt play in a GPP to help get some other studs in your lineup.
