Worth the DraftKings Investment
Kemba Walker (CHA, G) - $7,800
With so many teams either out of the playoff mix or already locked in, it is important to try to find players locked into big minutes. That is exactly what Walker will have tonight, as he is on a team that is in the playoff hunt. Another big advantage for Walker is that Al Jefferson and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist remain out, so Kemba will have to continue shouldering the load. Last night he was forced to put up 20 shots, and despite only connecting on seven of them, he was able to post 17 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Expect a very similar line tonight against a Toronto team that has been beaten by opposing point guards lately.
Nerlens Noel (PHI, F) - $7,900
Although his team is nowhere near the playoffs, Noel has continued to see a ton of minutes as the Sixers work towards the future. Outside of an injury last week that held him to 11 minutes in one game, Noel has gone over 32 minutes played in six of the past seven games. Over the past 10 games Noel has scored in double figures eight times, grabbed double figure rebounds in seven, and combined for at least two steals and blocks in all 10 games. With a likely hood of a double-double bonus and a ton of defensive stats, Noel should make for a great play Wednesday. Also remember just last week against this same Wizards team Noel posted 40.0 fantasy points.
Rudy Gobert (UTA, C) - $8,100
As is the case with Noel, Rudy Gobert has seen a giant spike in minutes recently as the Jazz work towards the future. The French big man has logged over 30 minutes in each of his 10 games which has allowed him to go over 30 fantasy points in seven of the past eight outings. On Sunday the Jazz and Kings hooked up with Gobert going for 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Although those are not great numbers, those came while he was matched up with DeMarcus Cousins who is out tonight. That should make for a much easier game for Gobert. Look for him to get back on the double-double train tonight.
DraftKings Sleepers & Value Picks
Derrick Williams (SAC, F) - $3,200
As mentioned above, Boogie Cousins is out tonight which means more time in the front court for Williams. He is certainly a streaky player who is capable of putting up a huge game while also being able to crush an otherwise good squad. The positive news is that his consistency has picked up with double-digit fantasy points in nine of 10 games which will at least get him to 3X value. Utah is one of the best defensive teams in the league, but at this point it is a positive to find a near minimum priced player who could see up to 30 minutes.
Mike Muscala (ATL, F) - $3,900
Muscala was called upon last night to fill in for the injured Paul Millsap and performed amazingly. He put up 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals and 1 block which got him to 10x his value. Tonight it would not be a surprise for the Hawks to rest more players which means much more time for the young Muscala. He has certainly produced when given time. This was the case last night and last week against Charlotte where he got 34 minutes and had 44.0 fantasy points. Assuming he starts tonight, Muscala could be one of the highest owned players on the board.
