DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Boston Red Sox vs. Daniel Norris (LHP)

Tigers starter Daniel Norris has had an awful 2017 campaign, posting a 4.48 ERA with a 9.8% walk-rate, so he's an easy target as he faces the Red Sox at Fenway Park. Hanley Ramirez and Dustin Pedroia are coming in at low prices for the amount of damage they can do, while Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts are available if you are willing to spend more. Outfielder Chris Young is another outstanding play, as he should bat second against the lefty, since he hits left-handed pitching very well with a career 123 wRC+ against them. Any Red Sox hitters that you can get into your lineups on Sunday will increase your chances of winning your contests.

Chicago Cubs vs. Antonio Senzatela (RHP)

Antonio Sentazela, rookie starting pitcher for the Rockies, has had great results in his twelve starts, putting up a 3.56 ERA and an 8-2 record. Hopefully this will scare off other fantasy players from Cubs batters, as Senzatela's success has been unsustainable, and he is going to regress sooner than later. Senzatela has just a 16.1% K-rate with a 7.1% walk-rate, leading to a 4.40 FIP and 4.44 xFIP. He is surviving off of a super low .255 BABIP that won't last for much longer. He faces the Cubs at Wrigley on Sunday, where the wind is blowing out heavily to left field. Elite plays like Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant will be worth the price tag, while guys like Ben Zobrist and Jason Heyward are coming in at insane value. Whatever combination of Cubs hitters you can come up with should be successful.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Dinelson Lamet, SD vs. KC - $6,800

Since being called up, Padres starter Dinelson Lamet has had two nice starts and one horrible start, making his full-season ERA look awful at 6.92. It's not fair to judge him based off of just one start, where he gave up seven earned runs to a tough Diamondbacks lineup at their hitter-friendly park. Through his first two starts of the year, Lamet threw ten innings, allowing just three earned runs and striking out sixteen. His true talent level likely lies somewhere in between, making him an outstanding value play against the Royals. The Royals are 28th in wOBA against right-handers at .296, and Lamet faces them at home at the pitcher's paradise that is Petco Park. Lamet can have a productive day out of your pitcher's slot while you spend big on hitters.

David Paulino, HOU vs. LAA - $6,400

Another rookie, Astros starter David Paulino has looked very impressive through his first two starts of the season, striking out twelve batters in 9 2/3 innings with just two walks. And it's not like this came out of nowhere; Paulino was ranked as the Astros third-best prospect by Baseball Prospectus before the season. He takes on a weak Angels lineup that has a .300 wOBA against right-handers, putting them at 26th in the league. They are an even worse offense when you consider that most of their production was from Mike Trout, who is now on the disabled list. Paulino is incredibly cheap for the amount of talent that he has, so he could provide plenty of profit on Sunday.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Yasmani Grandal, LAD vs. CIN - $3,300

Now is the perfect time to buy low on Yasmani Grandal, who has fallen to $3,300 on Sunday. He's mired in a deep slump right now, but as one of the streakiest hitters in baseball, Grandal can easily have a sudden break out game. He will be facing Tim Adleman, who has a 4.42 ERA, so don't be surprised is Grandal goes deep or knocks in a few RBIs against him.

First Base (1B)

Matt Adams, ATL vs. NYM - $4,000

Matt Adams has had a swell time since joining the Braves lineup, hitting six homers with an .836 OPS. Any time he faces a right-hander at home, Adams is worth a look, as Atlanta's ballpark has been one of the best hitting environments in all of baseball since opening. He will be facing Seth Lugo, who is making his first start back off of the disabled list, after posting a 4.33 FIP in 2016. Out of the Braves five-spot, Adams will see lots of RBI opportunities for a relatively low price.

Second Base (2B)

Wilmer Flores, NYM @ ATL - $3,700

Wilmer Flores is absolutely destroying the ball for the Mets right now, batting .409 with a 1.085 OPS in the last 15 days. On Saturday, he had an insane 6-for-9 day in a doubleheader. Flores has hit lefties well throughout his career, with a 133 wRC+, and he faces southpaw Jaime Garcia on Sunday. Garcia has a 4.33 FIP this season, which suggests he will regress from his 3.21 ERA. Flores looks to continue his torrid pace, and for such a cheap price, it's tough to ignore him.

Shortstop (SS)

Jordy Mercer, PIT vs. MIA - $3,400

Jordy Mercer is the Pirates leadoff man against left-handed pitching, as he has a career 127 wRC+ against lefties, and he faces lefty Jeff Locke on Sunday. Locke has made only two starts this season, as he had a 5.44 ERA last year with the Pirates. They likely have a strong scouting report on Locke after he spent nearly his entire career in Pittsburgh. This means that Mercer has a great chance at some hits and some runs on Sunday, and he enters swinging a hot bat, hitting .333 with a .915 OPS in his last 15 days.

Third Base (3B)

Maikel Franco, PHI @ STL - $2,600

Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco is having an atrocious season, but you'll see that better days are ahead of him if you dive deeper into his profile. Franco has an incredibly low .213 BABIP that is certain to rise, so don't be scared off by his .208 batting average. He is striking out even less at 14.7% and has significantly cut his IFFB (popup) rate to 7.1%. He's facing Adam Wainwright, who has a 4.82 ERA after giving up nine earned runs to the Reds. Franco is at a basement level price, so buy cheap while you still can.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Mallex Smith, TB vs. OAK - $3,300

Rays centerfielder Mallex Smith returned with a bang on Friday, stealing three bases and homering, followed by another three hits and a steal on Saturday. The speedster faces Jesse Hahn on Sunday, who has an unspectacular 18.0% K-rate to an 8.0% walk-rate. With Smith leading off, he can put up a ton of fantasy points, and his price is likely going to rise at a rapid pace if he keeps this up.

Michael Taylor, WAS vs. TEX - $3,600

Most Nationals hitters are coming in at incredibly high prices on Sunday, and for good reason against Rangers starter Austin Bibens-Dirkx. The 32-year-old career minor leaguer is going to get obliterated by the Nats lineup, but their centerfielder Michael Taylor is still coming in at a cheap price. Taylor has a legit power/speed combo, as he already has six home runs and four steals through 174 plate appearances. Even if you can't go with an entire Nats stack, getting Taylor into your lineups would be a savvy move.

Seth Smith, BAL @ NYY - $3,900

Any time you can get a leadoff hitter for $3,900, it's never a bad play, and that's the case with Seth Smith on Sunday. Smith has had a mediocre season, but atop the Orioles lineup, there's plenty of production to be had. They face Chad Green, who has been strong out of the bullpen but had a 5.94 ERA as a starter in 2016. At Yankee Stadium, there should be lots of runs on the board, and Smith will likely be part of a few of them.
