BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ANALYSIS: Drew Pomeranz was a very highly regarded prospect going into the 2012 season, some had him on their list of fantasy baseball sleepers, but he let down in 2012 and 2013 in Colorado. So with that in mind I wrote Pomeranz off for 2013, as did most owners. But he found his way into the Oakland pitching staff, and has now earned his spot in the rotation making him a viable waiver wire pickup.
Pomeranz has been helped greatly by going from pitching at Coors Field to the Oakland Colessium, which made a big difference right off the bat. The biggest thing that he has gained in my opinion is that he has confidence right now that I haven't seen him exhibit before. He has four wins, 30 strikeouts, and a 1.38 ERA in 32 innings this season, which has owners ready to take a chance if they haven't already. I think he can be the next pitcher to give the Athletics a 15 win season and would sign him in all leagues if he's still available (currently 52% owned in Yahoo leagues). At worst you can hold him for a few weeks and then sell high.
