BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 43 % of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: Is Ender Inciarte the next Brady Anderson? Nostalgic reference aside, Inciarte has shocked everyone, probably himself included, by jacking four home runs in a four-game span. For context, he hit three all of last season and has a single-season career high of six. His power surge won't last, proven by his hugely inflated 30.8% HR/FB rate, but that's not why you want Inciarte anyway. He collected two more hits on Monday, raising his average to .269, but that number should continue to rise. He has a .229 BABIP at the moment, but is riding a six-game hitting streak so it appears things are turning around. Remember, Inciarte put together hit streaks of 16 and 19 games last season en route to a .291 average that nearly matches his career mark of .290.
Although he only has one steal so far, Inciarte should also provide some speed. He's averaged 19 SB per season, which by itself makes him valuable in leagues of 12 or more teams. One more overlooked aspect of his value is runs scored. Inciarte crossed the plate 85 times while playing for a last-place Braves team that was auditioning position players all season long. With a full season of Matt Kemp and Dansby Swanson behind him, including apparent MVP candidate Freddie Freeman, Inciarte could be scoring 90-100 times this year.
