Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron has been having a great season thus far, especially compared to his rookie season. Through just four games he already has 15 catches for 179 yards and two touchdowns; all of last year combined he only recorded 25 catches for 248 yards and one touchdown.
Unfortunately, the increased playing time has taken its toll on Ebron, who is currently dealing with a bruised knee. Although the injury isn't serious, it could reportedly keep him out of action for the next three weeks.
With Ebron out of action, the Lions will look for Brandon Pettigrew and Tim Wright to fill the void. Neither is a recommended fantasy football option. If you need a short-term replacement for Ebron, look to pickup Cleveland Browns tight end Gary Barnidge if he's still available, St. Louis Rams Jared Cook or even New England Patriots' Scott Chandler, who's become a favorite target of Tom Brady's in the red zone.
