BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 47% of leagues
ANALYSIS: How far off the radar was Eric Haase to open the season? Well, let's just say that his first name is misspelled in the tag on the image in our library. Now he's one of the most popular adds on Yahoo and based on current trends, by the time you read this he'll almost certainly be rostered in more leagues than not.
The 28-year-old entered the year with just 53 plate appearances at the MLB level across three seasons, and in those opportunities he posted a .353 OPS and 37.7% strikeout rate. He still strikes out too much, but a .245 batting average isn't a dealbreaker for a catcher-eligible player - particularly when it also comes packaged with 13 homers in just 43 games. Raw power has always been Haase's defining trait, the issue has been making enough contact to get to it in games. He's worth a roster spot for as long as he can continue to do so.
