ANALYSIS: With the recent news that stud closer Sean Doolittle hit the DL, Eric O'Flaherty has stepped in as the Oakland closer and has made his way onto our waiver wire sleepers list for saves. Let's be honest here - there is no replacing Doolittle. He has been absolutely filthy this year. But anyone closing for one of the best teams in baseball (if not the best) is an immediate waiver wire pickup.
Given his extremely low 27% ownership rate in Yahoo leagues, O'Flaherty should still be widely available on waiver wires. He notched his first save last night, and is rocking a very solid 12:4 K:BB ratio over 15 2/3 IP, to go along with a 1.76 ERA and 0.98 WHIP. If you need saves, go grab him now if he's still available and get him active. It's still unclear how long Doolittle will be sidelined, and O'Flaherty can help your fantasy baseball teams down the stretch.
