Offensive Stacks

Cincinnati Reds versus Wily Peralta

The Cincinnati Reds are worth consideration in tournaments tonight. Wily Peralta rarely allows home runs at only 1.098 per nine innings pitched, but he has a horrible 1.463 WHIP, and his SO/9 is rather low, as well. The Reds should be able to score runs in Cincinnati, which is a great place for hitters.

Also Consider: Boston Red Sox versus Alex Cobb; Cleveland Indians versus Matt Boyd

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Drew Pomeranz versus TB ($7,800)

Drew Pomeranz has one of the better matchups on the board tonight. The Tampa Bay Rays rarely strikeout, but also rarely score. Pomeranz has a great 9.809 SO/9, solid 1.201 WHIP, and a decent 1.164 home runs allowed per nine innings pitched. He should keep the run production to a minimum, an his price tag is rather low. Roster him with the Boston Red Sox stack.

Dylan Bundy versus TOR ($7,200)

Dylan Bundy has great upside in tournaments. He has a solid 9.055 SO/9, so ignore his horrible 1.4 WHIP. The Toronto Blue Jays are no longer the offensive powerhouse that they were last season. Bundy does struggle from time to time. The Blue Jays strikeout 0.261 times per at-bat. Roster Bundy in tournaments only. He is too inconsistent for cash games.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Austin Barnes - C, vs ARI ($2,500)

Austin Barnes hit a home run last night, and he will look to repeat that performance tonight. He is hitting at the bottom of the order, but his solid 0.067 wOBA differential shows that he has value at his price tag. Roster him in all leagues.

Matt Davidson - 1B, at MIN ($2,600)

Matt Davidson is set to hit sixth tonight for the Chicago White Sox, and if he does, roster him in all leagues. He is a right-handed batter against a left-handed pitcher with an outstanding 0.151 wOBA differential.

Ryan Schimpf - 2B, at ATL ($3,100)

Ryan Schimpf has great power for the second base position. He is a left-handed batter facing off against the right-handed Bartolo Colon. Colon is at the end of his career, and Schimpf has a great 0.077 wOBA differential. He should be able to pick up a hit or two.

Justin Turner - 3B, vs ARI ($3,800)

Justin Turner is a little bit expensive, and he is a right-handed batter against a right-handed pitcher, but he has a great 0.121 ISO differential, so throw all of that out the window. ISO differential predicts power upside and value. He has that, even with his high price tag. Turner is a home run candidate tonight.

Corey Seager - SS, vs ARI ($3,600)

As can be seen based on these infield recommendations, the Los Angeles Dodgers are worth consideration as a stack. Corey Seager is a left-handed batter against a right-handed pitcher. He has a great 0.081 wOBA differential. His price tag is a little bit too low on FanDuel right now.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Andrew Benintendi - OF, vs TB ($3,300)

Andrew Benintendi has a great hard hit rate to start the season, and he gets a good matchup against the right-handed Alex Cobb. His wOBA differential is 0.193, and his ISO differential is a staggering 0.208. He has home run upside, but also consistency. Roster him in all leagues.

Kirk Nieuwenhuis - OF, at CIN ($2,400)

Kirk Nieuwenhuis is hitting in hitter-friendly Cincinnati tonight against the right-handed Romano. He is a left-handed batter. His hard hit rate is 60 percent to start the season. That makes him a great candidate for extra basis and RBIs. Roster him in all leagues at his low price tag.
