We have a total of 15 games on the slate today, five of which are on the early slate, so I'll cover both. There are some really great pitching options on the board, namely Chris Sale, if you are a cash game player. As of now there is only one game with real weather concerns, that is PIT @ ATL. Play the early slate, play the main slate, and let's win some contests.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/24/2017. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options, and of course, value plays.

Offensive Stacks
New York Yankees vs Jason Hammel
The Yankees faced Hammel last week and his stat line was such: 6 IP, 9 H, and 5 ER. They were seeing the ball really well from him, and now this game is at Yankee Stadium, so a positive park shift for them. We all know the Yankees can have one of the most explosive offenses in the league, and all of their hitters are in play.
Houston Astros vs Daniel Norris
The Astros are the best team in the MLB this year, and they are putting up a ton of runs. This game being in Houston makes it a great option for hitters, and Norris hasn't been able to put together a great start this year. He has given up 11 ER over his last three starts, with a .354 wOBA vs right-handed batters, and a .389 wOBA vs left-handed batters. He simply cannot get hitters out, and the Astros are all in play for stacking.
FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Chris Sale - P, vs TEX ($11,800)
Listen, Chris Sale is on another level when it comes to striking batters out right now. He has seven straight games of 10 or more strikeouts. That is an insane streak, and he has almost 20 more strikeouts than the next closest pitcher in the Majors. If you are playing cash games, you have to find a way to fit him in your lineups. He is expensive, but you have to make it work, because the consistency he brings is unrivaled. Find the value bats you need, because Sale hasn't scored less than 42 FanDuel points all season.
Marcus Stroman - P, @ MIL ($8,900)
Stroman is a really solid GPP play today due to his favorable match up. He is at Milwaukee, which is a hitters park, and why he is a GPP option only. The favorable match up is because the Brewers have a 24% strikeout rate versus right-handed pitching this season, which is third worst in the Majors. The Brewers swing big, but they can also miss big, so the potential upside here is very nice, but also carries some risk. Stroman has been in form lately, only allowing 2 ER over his last three starts combined.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Alex Avila - C, @ HOU ($3,300)
Avila has been a righty masher this year, and you always want to give him a look when in this match up. He is at Houston, which is a nice hitters park, and is good for cash games or stacks. He has a .504 wOBA and a .328 ISO vs right-handed pitching this season. Great numbers, and consistent option at catcher.
Chris Davis - 1B, vs MIN ($3,300)
Davis always has two home run upside, and worth giving a look most nights. He has a .342 wOBA and a .263 ISO this season vs right-handed pitching. This game is at Camden Yards, which is a real solid hitters park, and Davis is in a good spot if you stack him.
Dustin Pedroia - 2B, vs TEX ($3,200)
Pedroia is a bit under priced today, and the perfect spot for you to roster him. He has a 3.14 wOBA and only a 7% strikeout rate vs left-handed pitching. That along with a .400 OBP, shows that he is seeing the ball well from lefties, and getting on base. Great cash game play, and also for stacks, since the Sox offense has been turning it on as of late.
Chris Taylor - 3B, vs STL ($2,800)
Taylor is a great option at third, who also comes with some salary relief. He has a .396 wOBA and a .220 ISO vs right-handed pitching this season. He generally bats high in the order, and for his price, you can start to have a path to rostering Chris Sale.
Tim Beckham - SS, vs LAA ($2,900)
Beckham is a bit of a reverse splits hitter, as he has a .334 wOBA and a .207 vs right-handed pitching. Pretty solid numbers from a player who isn't super consistent, so he isn't cash game viable, only GPPs. Beckham has the upside you need, and also brings the always need salary relief.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Joc Pederson - OF, vs STL ($2,800)
JOC JAMS! Pederson is one of of the better low priced GPP options, but only when he is facing a right-handed pitcher, as he is tonight. Having some cheap exposure to the Dodgers offense is always good, and Pederson brings that. He has a .319 wOBA and a .152 ISO vs right-handed pitching.
Charlie Blackmon - OF, @ PHI ($4,300)
Blackmon is a true left power hitter vs right-handed pitching. He has a .413 wOBA and a .276 ISO vs RHP. Always a great option in cash games, but he is expensive. It will be tough to fit him and Sale into the same lineup, but Blackmon is great in a stack, since they are at the Phillies, which is a good hitters park.
Seth Smith - OF, vs MIN ($3,100)
Smith is always an interesting option in the outfield, since he either bats high in the lineup, or super low. Makes it a very unique decision, since he has good upside being in a powerful lineup, but only when at the top. He has a .356 wOBA and a .172 ISO vs RHP. More of a stacking option, not really for cash.
