FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/18/16): MLB DFS Advice

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/18/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies are still playing in Coors Field. This should be enough to convince anyone to stack them tonight.

Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays make for a great stack tonight against the Los Angeles Angels, who are pitching Alex Meyer. Meyer does not have the talent level to keep hitters like Josh Donaldson and Edwin Encarnacion off the scoreboard.

Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins are not one of the better hitting teams in the league, but with Jacob deGrom out for the season and Gabriel Ynoa taking his spot on the mound tonight, they are worth consideration in tournaments. The entire team has power and upside, but they tend to fail to score as a unit.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Kyle Hendricks ($10,100)

Kyle Hendricks is leading the league in ERA, so to say that he has been consistent this season would be an understatement. Against the Milwaukee Brewers, he can be used in both 50/50 contests and tournaments.

Ivan Nova ($7,500)

Ivan Nova is too cheap. That is plain and simple. His price tag is much higher over on DraftKings, and while he does get a tough matchup in a hitter-friendly ballpark, he can still be used in tournaments. Over his last few starts, Nova has been one of the better fantasy options in the league.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C) - Jonathan Lucroy ($3,700)

Jonathan Lucroy is one of the most powerful catchers in the league. He gets an easy matchup tonight against the Oakland Athletics, and he can be used in both 50/50 contests and tournaments, especially hitting in Texas.

First Base (1B) - Joey Votto ($4,000)

Even though Ivan Nova is worth consideration in tournaments tonight, Joey Votto also makes for a great play. He is hitting in Cincinnati, which will give a bump to his already incredible power, and a home run is obviously not out of the question.

Second Base (2B) - Brian Dozier ($4,200)

Brian Dozier gets a fantastic matchup tonight against the New York Mets, who will be without Jacob deGrom for the rest of the season. With both Harvey and deGrom injured, their pitching staff is struggling. Dozier, however, is surging. Use him in all formats.

Shortstop (SS) - J.J. Hardy ($2,600)

J.J. Hardy has been cheaply priced all season long, and fantasy owners have been cashing in. He has the power to hit a home run, and of recent, he has been hitting right around .300 in his last 10 games. Use him in all formats tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Third Base (3B) - Josh Donaldson ($4,500)

Josh Donaldson has been dealing with an injury of recent, but he should get the start tonight against the Los Angeles Angels. The Toronto Blue Jays are liable to score double-digit runs tonight, and if he plays, Donaldson will be a huge part of that.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Andrew McCutchen ($4,000)

Andrew McCutchen is finally starting to show off his upside, as far as fantasy numbers go. He hit two home runs in one game a couple of games ago, and he is having a blast hitting in hitter-friendly Cincinnati. For the time being, use him in all formats.

Adam Duvall ($2,700)

Speaking of the Cincinnati ballpark, Adam Duvall tends to hit the ball rather far when hitting inside of it. His price tag is very low, as he has been struggling, but his power and upside are so high that he is still worth consideration in tournaments.
