Worth the Investment
Jeff Teague (ATL, PG) - $8,300
After getting a rest last night against Philadelphia, and likely burning a lot of DFS players, Teague should be a great option with a low ownership percentage tonight. He has been rolling of late with eight straight games over 31 fantasy points.
Teague has been doing it in all facets of the game with three games over 10 assists, six games over 20 points and seven games over 2 steals in the last 10 outings. Assuming Atlanta rolls out their normal starting lineup again, the match-up with an up tempo Boston team should be a game to attack tonight.
Greg Monroe (DET, PF) - $8,300
Since the release of Josh Smith, Monroe has reasserted himself into elite status of fantasy big men. He is working on a streak of seven straight double-doubles which has resulted in five straight outings of over 36 fantasy points. Much of this has a direct correlation to the number of minutes he is getting as they have worked up from the mid-20 range to the mid-30s over the past two weeks including 36 and 37 in back to back games last week.
Yes, the match-up with Anthony Davis and the Pelicans is not ideal, but that should keep his ownership percentage lower and allow those who are bold enough to take him to reap the rewards.
Mason Plumlee (BRK, C) - $6,900
With Kevin Garnett suspended for the game tonight against Memphis, Plumlee should continue to see huge minutes against the big front line of the Grizzlies. Since his insertion into the starting lineup, Plumlee has been incredibly consistent and despite a rise in his price he should still make for a good play. The former Duke big man has a double-double in three of the past four outings while also averaging one block per game in those four.
Like Monroe, many people will see the match-up against the Grizzlies and immediately pass on Plumlee, with no one to push him for minutes that would be a mistake. Even against Marc Gasol, Plumlee should be able to snare another double-double.
Top Sleeper
Jae Crowder (BOS, SF) - $4,600
Crowder has always shown flashes of fantasy goodness, but was never really given a ton of time in Dallas. With the trade of Jeff Green, Crowder has been given the green light to be more assertive including 36 minutes in their last game. In those 32 minutes he posted 22 points, three rebounds, three assists, two blocks and four steals.
Although Crowder is unlikely to replicate that stat line tonight, for just $4,600 he should easily exceed 5X value against a Hawks team that can struggle guarding on the wing.
