FanDuel DFS – MLB Lineup Picks, Sleepers & Advice for 6/24/15

As with every Wednesday we're looking at another full slate of baseball. There's five early morning games on June 24th, so double-check lineups before 12:10 if you plan to play in an all-day league. Big price items include Chris Sale ($11,600) and Gerrit Cole ($11,000). Hard to argue either isn't worth it, so I'll try to keep the hitters on the cheap side.

Editor's Note: If you play on FanDuel, you should also check out RotoBaller’s DFS Partner DraftKings - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's FREE to enter and pays out $110,000 in cash prizes!

Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Hard to argue with using Sale or Cole as mentioned above. I'd recommend Cole of the two, but here's some cheap options:

Roenis Elias (SEA, SP) vs KC- $7,700

Elias rebounded nice last time out, piling up 10 Ks vs the Astros. He's traditionally had trouble vs the Royals, but this KC team is struggling, including a 7-0 shutout last night vs lefty Mike Montgomery. I also like the Mariners to pounce on Danny Duffy tonight, increasing the odds of those precious four points.

Nate Karns (TB, SP) vs TOR - $6,600

Karns has only given up one run in each of his past two starts and has a 1.52 ERA during day games. I like his chances for a win vs Marco Estrada, and Vegas agrees (-120).

Offenses to Target for FanDuel Stacking

Diamondbacks/Rockies game

It feels like every week I write this article I'm analyzing a game at Coors. I didn't even have to change that first sentence. I'm just going to assume every Wednesday a game will be played in Colorado. Neither of the pitchers in the matchup (Allen Webster vs David Hale) present much of a threat to shut down either offense. I'm buying both sides and will make sure to include Wellington Castillo ($3,000), Ben Paulsen ($3,100), DJ LeMahieu ($3,100), Nolan Arenado ($4,400), AJ Pollock ($4,400), and David Peralta ($3,400).

Honorable Mention: Cleveland Indians

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Jason Castro (HOU, C) - $2,700

He's been hitting the ball well this week, and he's 3-for-6 with a HR lifetime vs Matt Shoemaker.

Chris Davis (BAL, 1B) - $3,400

Crush Davis has two HR vs Clay Buchholz while batting .318 over 22 ABs. I like his chances to go yard tonight.

Brian Dozier (MIN, 2B) - $4,100

I know, it's Chris Sale. But Dozier loves hitting lefties and has three HR to his name vs Sale. I'm not afraid to throw him out there, and I doubt many people do the same.

Ian Kinsler (DET, 2B) - $3,000

This seems much too low for a player with success vs Carrasco lifetime and a notorious Indian killer (.309 career AVG).

Maikel Franco (PHI, 3B) - $3,500

The fact the price isn't $4,500 is astonishing. Franco became the third rookie to ever record consecutive five RBI games last night (last was Robinson Cano). He now has four HR and 13 RBI over his last eight games. The only downside is I expect ownership to be very high today.

Alcides Escobar (KC, SS) - $2,800

While the Royals have been scuffling somewhat, Escobar has not. He's been the highest rated SS among qualified FanDuel options the past week and has had success hitting vs Elias in a small sample size.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Justin Upton (SD, OF) - $3,300

Upton comes at a great discount in FanDuel and has had success vs righties such as Vogelsong in his career. He hasn't homered in 11 days, but I expect that to change.

Kevin Pillar (TOR, OF) - $3,100

Pillar has been on a tear recently (.481 over his past seven) and is 3-for-8 lifetime vs Karns with a HR. Ride the hot hand.

Kevin Kiermaier (TB, OF) - $2,800

Kiermaier has taken ownership of that leadoff spot in Tampa as of late. He's hitting .306 this past week, and I like his odds of scoring a run or swiping a bag this afternoon.
