FanDuel DFS – MLB Lineup Picks, Sleepers and Advice for 6/3/15

What's up everybody. We have a full slate of games with one doubleheader (MIN/BOS) on 6/3/2015. All-day tournaments start at 1:35 ET so make sure you check those lineups and try to make as many educated guesses for later games. There are a couple aces on the mound in the $10,000 range, including Corey Kluber ($11,000), Chris Sale ($10,400), and Sonny Gray ($10,100). The only one of those I'd consider ponying up for is Kluber, but there are tons of options to consider. Let's get to it!

Editor's Note: If you play on FanDuel, you should also check out RotoBaller’s DFS Partner DraftKings - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's FREE to enter and pays out $50,000 in cash prizes! Sign up Now and we'll give you free access to RotoBaller's Premium DFS Lineup Picks and Tools (a $29.99 monthly value). You'll also get a 100% bonus on your first deposit.

Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

If you want to stack one of the top three, be my guest. In order, I'll say Kluber, Gray, and Sale if you choose to invest.

Cole Hamels (PHI, SP) - $9,900

Hamels has been on fire lately with a 1.69 ERA in his five starts including some tough matchups (vs COL, @ WAS, @ COL). Today he still gets a tough draw with the Reds, but I like his chances to pull out a W versus opponent Mike Leake. A few Reds have solid numbers in small samples against Hamels, but I'm going with the hot hand here.

John Lackey (STL, SP) - $8,700

Lackey was fantastic in his last outing vs LAD, completing seven innings of shutout baseball. He now has a 1.30 ERA at Busch Stadium this year and also has a 0.87 ERA in day games this year. Vegas has the Cardinals as -155 favorites, and an O/U of 7 suggests a low-scoring bout. I'll be deploying Lackey in a few leagues myself.

Offenses to Target for FanDuel Stacking

Toronto Blue Jays

Toronto is likely to see Taylor Jordan make his first start of 2015 for the Nationals. Jordan worked 4.2 innings in relief of Stephen Strasburg on Friday, allowing three runs on six hits. I don't anticipate Jordan going very deep in this game, which will put it at the hands of a struggling bullpen that includes Aaron Barrett (5.19 ERA) and Casey Janssen (7.71 ERA). Most of them aren't cheap, but I'm willing to pay up for Josh Donaldson ($5,000), Jose Reyes ($3,500), Russell Martin ($3,100), and Chris Colabello ($2,800).

Colorado Rockies / Los Angeles Dodgers

You get the gist, it's Coors Field and Vegas expects 10.5 runs. That sounds great to me. I'm not buying Mike Bolsinger's start to the season, and the Rockies have hit him well in the small sample size provided. On the other hand, Chad Bettis was near perfect in last outing at Philadelphia, but it needs to be factored these are completely different offenses. Multiple players are hot on both teams, and the only drawback I can see is everyone is going to stack these teams. Regardless, I'm buying Yasmani Grandal ($3,300), Adrian Gonzalez ($4,500), Howie Kendrick ($3,600), Nolan Arenado ($4,200), Troy Tulowitski ($4,500), Joc Pederson ($4,100), Charlie Blackmon ($3,800), and Andre Ethier ($3,000). Obviously you cannot afford all of these players, so pick and choose for different rosters, but I'd make an effort to ride the Coors train when possible.

Other Offenses to Consider: Minnesota Twins (2nd game) ; Boston Red Sox (1st game)

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Blake Swihart (BOS, C) - $2,400

I hate paying for catchers (unless it's in Coors), so I'm going with the hot hand. Swihart is batting .357 in the last week and is working on a six-game hitting streak.

Yasmani Grandal (LAD, C) - $3,300

And here's that Coors exception. Grandal is hitting the ball well after returning from his concussion and is 4-for-11 against Chad Bettis. He's only caught one of the three games at Coors, so I expect to see him in the lineup today.

Freddie Freeman (ATL, 1B) - $3,500

Freeman has been killing it lately (3 HR 6 RBI last four games) and comes at a relative discount compared to his peers.

Ben Paulsen (COL, 1B) - $3,200

In case you need to save salary, you can grab the other 1B playing in that Coors game. He has two home runs this past week and has all of his home runs this year versus RHP.

Jace Peterson (ATL, 2B) - $2,800

Peterson has been the fourth best 2B in fantasy this past week, and his FanDuel price hasn't truly reflected his jump. This is a good spot to save some cash.

Mike Moustakas (KC, 3B) - $2,600

Moustakas has cooled off lately, but the "Kluber Effect" has his price way too low. He's a lifetime .483 hitter versus Kluber in 29 ABs with a home run. I'll take a chance for cheap.

Andrelton Simmons (ATL, SS) - $2,400

Simba is swinging a hot bat lately with a 10-game hitting streak and a .462 AVG in his last seven. I'll keep using him if they keep his price this low.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Joc Pederson (LAD, OF) - $4,100

I try to avoid reiterating players I mention in the stacking segment, but I have to give some love for Joc, mainly because he is killing it for my fantasy teams. He now has home runs in four consecutive games, and you have to ride the hot hand at this point. I'm surprised they didn't pump him to the $4,500 or more range.

Billy Burns (OAK, OF) - $3,300

Billy boy has seen his price shoot up recently for good reason. He's batting .440 in his last seven with six runs, two steals, and a homer to boot. Anibal Sanchez has a 6.81 ERA at home this year, so I expect the top of the A's lineup to produce tonight.

Ryan Raburn (CLE, OF) - $2,400

Raburn is mashing versus lefties this year with a .618 slugging percentage, and the majority of his statistics accumulated in those matchups. He's fared poorly lifetime against Jason Vargas, but for $2,400 he's a good option for a cheap third OF.
