We have a MASSIVE 12 game slate tonight, and there are good options on the board. Stacking will be big tonight, so look for some value where you can, and then load up on the star skaters where you can afford them.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/1/18. DFS Forwards to Consider

Rick Nash - W, NYR vs TOR (DK - $5,700, FD - $6,800)

The trade deadline is approaching and the rumors are swirling about Nash right now. He is a top target for many teams, and due to the fact he has pick up his game since the beginning of the season. He had six goals in his last six games right before the All-Star break, and is taking over three shots per game. He is on the first forward line and the first power-play unit, and will be going up against the Maple Leafs who are on the second night of a back to back.

Tyler Seguin - C, DAL @ ARI (DK - $7,800, FD - $7,900)

Seguin is up against the Coyotes tonight, who are giving up over three goals per game, so you will certainly want to target him. Really anytime the Coyotes are on the slate you want to roster against them since they are giving up three goals per game, so this puts Seguin in a great spot. He and the rest of the Stars will be among the chalkier options tonight, so there is some merit to fading him in tournaments. Seguin is still in the first forward line and the first power-play unit, so plenty of ice time against this bad defensive team.

 

DFS Defenders to Consider 

Erik Karlsson - D, OTT vs ANH (DK - $6,100, FD - $6,500)

Karlsson is another player who is the target of many trade rumors, so if you believe he will go out there and try to put out some good tape, this is the spot for him. He is taking over two shots per game, blocking over one shot per game, and sees time on the power-play unit. One of the best all around plays when it comes to defensmen in NHL DFS, and is viable for all formats tonight. He also has some good upside if you choose to use him as a one off in GPPs.

Justin Faulk - D, CAR vs MON (DK - $4,700, FD - $4,400)

Faulk makes a nice GPP option for tonight since he is up against a weak Canadiens team. The Hurricanes loves to take a ton of shots, but they don't always convert them to goals. This is bound for a bit of regression, so if you buy in now, you will get them against a bad defensive team. Faulk is on the second defensive pairing and the first power-play unit, so if you wan to stack him up, go with the power-play.

 

DFS Goalies to Consider

Tuukka Rask - G, BOS vs STL (DK - $8,000, FD - $9,200)

Rask didn't start the Bruins first game after the All-Star break, so he will be in net tonight and has already been confirmed. He is one of the more expensive options on the slate, and is up against a bit of a tougher opponent in the Blues, so he makes more of a GPP option for me compared to cash games. He has wins in each of his last five games, and only allowed three or more goals once over that span.
