FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (3/27/18): Daily Fantasy Hockey Advice

We have a MASSIVE nine game slate, and there are good options on the board. Stacking will be big tonight, so look for some value where you can, and then load up on the star skaters where you can afford them.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/27/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Connor McDavid - C, EDM vs CLS (DK - $7,600, FD - $9,100)

The Oilers' season has been over for some time now, but McDavid isn't slowing down anytime soon. He has retaken the league lead when it comes to points, and now just sits one point away from 100, so no reason to fade him here. Over his last 10 games, he has tallied 19 points, giving you multi-point upside he is on the slate. On paper, this might not be the best matchup for him, as he is up against the Blue Jacket,s who play solid defense, but he is almost matchup proof at this point. With being on the first forward lien, and the first power-play, he should be viable for all formats.

Jake Guentzel - W, PIT @ DET (DK - $6,000, FD - $5,500)

Guentzel is up on the top forward line for the Penguins, giving you some exposure to Crosby which is never a bad thing. They are up against Detroit, who is one the worst teams in the league, and you should feel confident in attacking them. Guentzel has five points in his last five games, and is also seeing time on the second power-play unit. He is taking over two shots per game, and can block a shot every now and then. Like his price on FanDuel a bit more tonight, and makes a decent cash game play.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Cam Fowler - D, ANH @ VAN (DK - $5,400, FD - $4,700)

Fowler will likely be a popular cash game option for tonight's slate, as he is consistent, and in a great spot. He is well over 20 minutes per game, taking about two shots per game, and blocking over one shot per game. Fowler also sees time on the first power-play unit, should prove to be beneficial tonight, as the Ducks are up against the Canucks, who are one of weaker teams in the league, giving up over three goals per game. Another player who I like a bit more on FanDuel tonight, since he seems too cheap, given the favorable spot he is in.

Ivan Provorov - D, PHI @ DAL (DK - $5,100, FD - $5,300)

Provorov is a real solid cash game option since he is averaging about 4.5 combined shots and blocked shots per game. Really filling up that stat sheet, allows him to reach value without scoring a real NHL point. He is on the second power-play unit, so not that offensive upside isn't there, he just isn't known for it. The Flyers are up against the Stars who are seriously struggling right now, so not a bad spot to attack.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Kieth Kinkaid - G, NJ vs CAR (DK - $7,900, FD - $7,800)

Kinkaid has already been confirmed as the starter for tonight's game, and in a good spot to pick up the win. The Devils come in as -150 home favorites, and in a spot where they NEED to be winning games. They are holding down the last wild cards spot, but only by one point, so with them up against Carolina, who are on the second night of a back to back, they should win. Kinkaid has two straight wins, allowed four goals over that span, and has seen 36 or more shots in six of his last seven games. Really nice upside from him, as he will have plenty of chances to rack up points.
