We have a nine game slate today, and there are good options on the board. Stacking will be big tonight, so look for some value where you can, and then load up on the star skaters where you can afford them.
Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/8/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider
Anze Kopitar - C, LA vs WAS (DK - $6,800, FD - $7,600)
Kopitar and the Kings are at home against the Capitals, in a bit of a sneaky spot, making him a good GPP play. If Braden Holtby is in net for the Capitals, the Kings stand to gain, since Holtby is giving up about three goals per game. He is simply not the goalie he once was, and good to attack. Kopitar has seven points in his last five games and is seeing time on the first power-play. Taking over two shots per game, and blocking about one shot per game, he has plenty of different ways to reach value. Really like the Kings as a stack tonight, but only for GPPs.
Blake Wheeler - W, WPG @ NJ (DK - $7,100, FD - $7,400)
With Mark Scheifele going out with an injury, Wheeler should be back at the center spot, as he was when Sheifele was out earlier in the earlier. He has four points in his last five games, is taking over three shots per game and blocking almost one shot per game. Also on the top power-play unit, which is hot right now, and going up against the Devils, who aren't the best defensive team. For his price, really like the upside they have on this slate since we have so many teams available.
DFS Defenders to Consider
Erik Karlsson - D, OTT vs BUF (DK - $6,200, FD - $7,300)
Karlsson is one of my favorite players to roster in NHL DFS since he is so consistent every night. He is also on a bit of a hot streak, so no reason to not roster him. Karlsson has seven points in his last four games, and has seen 27 minutes or more in three of his last four. He is on the first power-play, and now up against the Sabres, who are giving up over three goals per game, and on the second night of a back to back.
Keith Yandle - D, FLA vs MON (DK - $5,400, FD - $4,900)
Yandle and the Panthers are hot right now, so no reason to fade them, when they are -200 favorites at home against a weak Montreal team. He has four assists over his last three games, and is seeing time on the first power-play unit. Really like him as a cash game option for tonight since he is taking about two shots per game and blocking about one shot per game. Really provides value in multiple areas, so multiple ways to reach value.
DFS Goalies to Consider
Andrei Vasilevskiy - G, TB vs NYR (DK - $8,500, FD - $9,000)
Vasilevskiy and the Lightning are -250 favorites at home, making him a good cash game option for tonight. He is up against the Rangers, who are one of the weaker offensive teams, so good to roster against. He has 39 wins in 55 starts this season, and with that offense surrounding him, he can always come away with the win. Vasilevskiy is known to give up a few goals, but not a big point of concern in this matchup.
