We've got a Monday slate thanks to Memorial Day, and that also means a busy early slate. Unfortunately, FanDuel diced up the games, so we don't get the bulk of them in any slate besides the all day slate. That said, these picks apply for the "Early Only" slate because those had the best selection of players.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/28/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Gio Gonzalez - SP, @ BAL ($9,200)
Gonzalez is the least talented pitcher among the three top-priced pitchers on the slate, but he has by far the best matchup of the three. The Orioles lineup should feature at least four batters with a strikeout rate above 25% against LHP, including three over 30%. He also presents a large discount over both Jacob deGrom and Justin Verlander, which can be applied to some of the more desirable bats on the slate.
Also Consider: David Price - SP, vs. TOR ($8,000)
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Anthony Rizzo - 1B, @ PIT ($3,800)
Mitch Moreland figures to be a popular option with a matchup against struggling right-hander Aaron Sanchez. However, Rizzo also has a strong matchup and is priced $100 cheaper than Moreland. Meanwhile, Chad Kuhl has allowed 2.36 HR/9 to LHH -- it is worth noting that he has pitched better at home, so that number may be a bit inflated -- making Rizzo a mispriced option worth taking advantage of.
Eduardo Nunez - 2B, vs. TOR ($3,000)
Second base remains a huge mess, as it has been for much of the season. That makes it worth paying down at the position. Initially, I had hoped that Nunez would get a bump up in the order in the absence of Mookie Betts and Dustin Pedroia, and while he is batting sixth he still has great team team context with one of the better implied totals on the early slate.
Also Consider: Devon Travis- 2B @ BOS ($2,000)
Anthony Rendon - 3B @ BAL ($3,900)
Alex Cobb has been an absolute wreck this season so exposure to the Nationals lineup is a strong play on the early slate. The problem is, nearly their entire lineup is priced up making fitting more than one of them into your lineup a difficult proposition. Rendon is among the cheapest of the top half of their lineup hitters, but Michael Taylor is another option worthy of consideration. Of course, a stack is also in play but would likely require paying down at pitcher.
Jedd Gyorko - SS @ MIL ($2,900)
Gyorko hasn’t taken advantage of the regular playing time he’s gotten since Paul DeJong went down with injury, but faces a juicy matchup against LHP Brent Suter today. Suter has allowed 1.83 HR/9 to opposing RHB this season and that number jumps to 2.29 when he has pitched at home. Meanwhile, Miller Park is known for its kindness to opposing LHB, but it will also be an upgrade from a power perspective from Busch Stadium for RHB, including Gyorko.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Starling Marte- OF vs. CHC ($3,200)
The Pirates are the newest team to turn to an outfield rotation, but Marte should be the one consistent piece of that rotation. Today, he is simply too cheap. He homered in his first game back since landing on the disabled list with an oblique injury, and is priced a few hundred dollars cheaper than before he was sidelined. He also has the platoon advantage with LHP Mike Montgomery on the mound, a situation Marte has taken advantage of to the tune of a 156 wRC+ and .400 ISO in limited plate appearances this season.
Christian Yelich - OF vs. STL ($3,600)
Weaver has turned things around in his last three starts, but they haven’t been the biggest tests in terms of opposing lineup and have also come with good context with two of the starts coming at home. Today, he’ll have to face a hot lineup in a park that is positive for hitters, so it would make sense to get some exposure to opposing batters in case things go sideways for him. Yelich has been an on-base machine of late, making him a nice cash game play on the early slate.
Also Consider: Michael Taylor - OF @ BAL
